West Beach Inn, a Coast Hotel

This is at least our fifth time to the Santa Barbara area, but the first time staying at the West Beach Inn and it exceeded our expectations. The reason we did not stay at the hotel we usually reserve is that we were traveling with our older kids and needed a bigger room. We originally booked the two bedroom, but decided to upgrade to the three bedroom which was spectacular, we did not want to leave! And the staff is amazing. The breakfast offers hard boiled eggs, bagels, English muffins, granola, yogurt, etc.,. The pool & hot tub area is better in real life than the pictures show. The only tiny improvement would be to maybe have some more lounge chairs in the pool area since space isn’t the biggest but it is very upscale looking and well-maintained. The entire Inn has a great friendly vibe, every staff member was helpful & friendly. We will definitely stay here in our future trips to the area.

This is a great hotel. The staff is friendly, the room we stayed in was large and nicely appointed. We had a second floor room with a large balcony overlooking the harbor, and to the left,the beach.This hotel is right in the middle of the action, with great restaurants within a few minutes walk. The funk zone is also a few minutes away with tons of shopping and things to keep anyone interested. The breakfast is a continental affair with fresh fruit, yogurt and bagels and such. You can eat in the small breakfast area, around the pool,or take it back to your room. Also in the afternoon,there is a cheese and wine happy hour! I can guarantee that,when I return to Santa Barbara, this will be our home away from home.

Very friendly staff and attentive. Room was small, very clean and quiet. On the poolside, lot of seating and a patio. The inn is directly across the street from the pier. Full breakfast served daily, bottle water and dispenser for refills. Happy hour served at 4-5pm with wine, cheese and crackers . A very walkable to restaurants, shops and entertainment.Amtrak trains are 4 blocks away.

Great place to stay and value for money. Our room was clean, neat and comfortable. Bathroom was light and airy. Bonuses included free parking, breakfast and wine and cheese tasting. A short walk to the Pier and State Street promenade. Highly recommended.

Perfect beach front hotel in the beautiful Santa Barbara. Pool is perfect and rooms were perfectly clean. 10 minute walk down the beach front to busy State Street. Cheese and wine evenings were a nice bonus and a tasty (but basic) breakfast was a nice start to the day. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough,

This was probably our 10th stay at the West Beach Inn over the past 11 years. The properly, while older, is beautiful and well-maintained. The location cannot be better. We love walking through the nearby park, up to SBCC and back down through the harbor back to our room. Easy walk to the wharf and State Street. We love the harbor view rooms and balconies but think the courtyard rooms are equally as relaxing with their patio chairs. Such a great place for relaxing and reading a book. Parking is free and ample, continental breakfast is convenient and sufficient. Staff is efficient, welcoming and responsive. West Beach Inn is our home away from home when we are in SB.

Stayed here 1 night & really enjoys it. Parking is available on site. It’s a ten min (max) walk into town. They offer 2 hour bike hire for free from about 10 mins away. Breakfast was nothing special Staff was friendly. They have a pool & jacuzzi will 11pm I think. Had dinner at a place called Zaytoon which was amazing!! Next time I’m staying longer!
