訂的房間是帶早餐的，但去吃早餐時被告知早餐廳關閉了，衹能自付，這也可以！！！在酒店餐廳點早餐衹能抵扣48美元，不足的自己付，實際上自己點早餐的話48美元是肯定不夠的。預訂時早餐是25美元每人，我們是3人，和前台argue後同意抵75美元，checkout時説賬單會Email給我，結果後來看到賬單時還是衹抵扣48美元。很無語！在美國也是第一次碰到這種沒誠信的酒店。

The parking at $40 a night plus tax is too high, but other than that it was a lovely stay. Pool and hot tub were great and a nice relaxing atmosphere by the fires they light at night.

Hotel feels a little dated and the location was quite far from town. We also couldn't get Hyatt points because we booked through Trip.

The room is small. The beautiful environment depends on the natural scenery and not the hotel environment. The front desk staff has an arrogant attitude towards Asians. The parking fee of US$40 per day is very unreasonable in a small town. There is no need for valet parking like a Motel in the parking lot in front of the room. They force the guests to keep their car keys in order to ask for tips. It's actually owned by Hyatt, so Hyatt deducted big points.

Great stay and bed are huge. However the service of a particular staff was really unpleasant and the hotel system does not tally with my booking at all!
Trip.Com mentioned breakfast for 3 pax since I booked the stay for 3. Yet the staff insist it was 3 breakfast a day for 1 pax and did not mentioned that there was a $ capped for per pax breakfast. She insisted me to pay and did not want to speak to trip.Com herself. Also, insisted me to call trip.com on my own since I booked through a 3rd party. Help was not offered! I have to spent 30mins to seat at the lobby , ruin our itinery for the day and managed this hassle! Horrible experience overall at mar monte hotel.

Pros: the location is perfect. The weather is amazing. The furniture is beautiful and the building is old and historic. Breakfast was delicious. Cons: Amenities are more befitting a category 2 or 3. There's no chargers on the bedside tables. The gym is tiny and cramped with broken equipment. There's no sauna or steam room. No free breakfast buffet. Breakfast was expensive, and the one waiter was overtaxed and forgot about me.
