This was our first visit to the Hipocampo Palace and we will definitely return. The whole experience from check in to check out was brilliant. The stand out has to be the excellent food quality and the very spacious pool area. The food was the best buffet hotel food we have had and we have been to lots of hotels. The pool area is lovely and there is so much room between the beds you never feel like your space is being invaded by others. All the staff were brilliant and so friendly. We stayed in a suite in the annex building. So quiet and relaxing and well worth paying the extra. If I had to criticise one thing it’s the insistence of wearing long trousers for gents at dinner. It seems a bit dated now to do this but I understand why they do it as where do you draw the line with shorts for men. I simply changed into shorts after dinner.

Points positifs : • La propreté est irréprochable, tout est très bien entretenu. • Le coin piscine est spacieux, il y a toujours de la place, la piscine est très belle et à une température idéale, pas froide du tout. • Le petit déjeuner est excellent : un très large choix, varié et de très bonne qualité. Rien à redire. • Nous n’avons pas testé les repas du soir car nous n’étions pas en demi-pension. Points négatifs : • Nous sommes arrivés tard, vers 23h, et avons dû transporter nous-mêmes notre valise d’un bâtiment à l’autre, ce qui n’est pas habituel pour un hôtel 5 étoiles. • À notre arrivée, le gel douche dans la salle de bain était vide et n’a jamais été remplacé pendant tout notre séjour de 5 nuits. Nous avons dû utiliser le shampoing et l’après-shampoing à la place. Ce sont pourtant des détails qui font la différence dans un établissement de ce standing. • Les deux premiers matins, j’ai été réveillé par les cris d’enfants dans la chambre voisine. La gestion du changement de chambre a été maladroite : on m’a proposé une chambre moins bien située sans vérifier que les occupants bruyants partaient le jour même, ce qui a généré des démarches inutiles. • Enfin, il faut savoir qu’il y a beaucoup d’enfants dans l’hôtel, que ce soit autour de la piscine ou dans les chambres, ce qui peut engendrer du bruit.

Excellent hotel with wonderful staff from cleaners to management, who want to make your holiday a positive experience. Unusual that hotel is split in two parts, but the quaint inter joining tunnel laced with flowers is quirky. Excellent pool facilities and adequate gymnasium. Gardens and rooms are both kept immaculate by attentive staff. Food is excellent and varied, and have enjoyed every meal each breakfast and evening. My daughter has food phobias and issues, and found something every day. Prices of drinks and food at the pool bar are reasonable enough to stop you going out. The quality of the entertainment too was both varied and engaging , from circus acrobatics to Motown tribute artists (which were unanimously our favourites). Only disappointment was the guests, whilst they were very quiet and respectful, mainly German,they did not want to mix or even speak. Smiles, holding doors, allowing people to pass, all falling on deaf ears. Oh well never mind. Only suggestion for the hotel would be included free gratis a small daily supply of coffee pods. You are given just 3 at the beginning and have to buy the rest. Very minor, but something I'd do if it was my hotel.

The hotel is well-located, situated in the second row, yet close to the beach and promenade. There are many rental car offices around. Parking in the street is free, but it might be a bit hard to find. If you opt for hotel parking, it will cost you 5 euros daily, which we found reasonable. The breakfast buffet was one of the largest I've ever experienced. Suites can be easily transformed into a triple room. The staff are welcoming.

Das Hotel wird im Herbst 2025 renoviert. Die Renovierung ist gerade bei dem derzeitigen Zustand sehr nötig. Aber alles in allem ein sehr gutes Hotel. Das Buffet ist zu jeder Zeit sehr reichhaltig aufgebaut. Das Personal ist seit Jahren im Hotel beschäftigt und kennt die Stammgäste. Die Managerin macht einen sehr guten Job. Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Zeer aangenaam hotel, rustig. Zeer lekkere eten en veel afwisseling. Beleefd en vriendelijk personeel. Mooie tuin met voldoende plaatsen, aangenaam zwembad. Kamers ok, hier klopt alles, hotel zeer aan te bevelen.

en primer lugar, me gustaría agradecerles por mi estancia en su hotel. La calidad de su establecimiento y de sus servicios me ha agradado en general. Sin embargo, deseo plantear un tema que podría ser relevante para muchos huéspedes.
En el pasado, he estado en numerosos hoteles de 5 estrellas, donde las máquinas de café en las habitaciones estaban disponibles como estándar, acompañadas de suficientes cápsulas de café, así como leche y azúcar, generalmente de forma gratuita. Por lo tanto, me sorprendió un poco que en su hotel se indicara que las cápsulas adicionales tienen un costo.
Particularmente en la hotelería de alta gama, los huéspedes esperan un cierto nivel de comodidades, y para muchos eso incluye el uso ilimitado de las máquinas de café y los artículos correspondientes. Cobrar por las cápsulas puede considerarse inapropiado y no alineado con las expectativas sobre la calidad del servicio de un hotel de cinco estrellas.
Por lo tanto, solicito amablemente, pero con firmeza, que su hotel evite en el futuro la práctica de cobrar a los huéspedes por cápsulas adicionales. Sin duda, esto contribuiría a mejorar la satisfacción de los huéspedes y a mantener el alto estándar de su establecimiento.
