Protur Biomar Sensatori

When booking a Tui blue Sensatori 5* resort you expect a clean beautiful resort. The pictures when booking this hotel do not reflect the family side at all. The rooms reflect the adults only side and when booking a twin room the room looks a lot bigger on the picture than in real life, it’s very small. When we raised this to TUI we were advised it’s the lighting of the picture.. we were also advised 5* rating is not based on the actual accommodations appearance and is based on the amount of lifts and facilities it has. I met many families complaining about block B. on the family side there is no modern panelling as displayed other than by restaurants. The rooms are dated and dirty. The kids splash pool and family pool is always dirty. They don’t ever clean the floor. There are cockroaches outside and inside block B. When walking to your room at night you are greeted with cockroaches and we also had one in our room. I’ve seen them also roaming around by the pool in the day. The only positive I have had on this whole trip is that the food and drinks are lovely. The entertainment is okay for the kids and the weather has been lovely. I won’t return to this hotel and would much prefer to return to a different sensatori hotel which meets the 5* rating.

We have just visited this hotel for a week as a family of 3 with a 8 month old baby. Will start by saying we had a lovely week away and the hotel as a whole is lovely. The hotel as a whole has a lot to offer with various different things on site like a coffee shop, baby rooms, spa etc. As a whole I wouldn’t rate it a 5* hotel, and here the reasons why; Rooms were actually really disappointing, bathrooms are really shabby and tatty, broken tiles, bath sealant missing, old rusty radiator, and the block we stayed in is infested with Cockroaches. Walking back each night to the room through the corridors to old stained carpets and cockroaches crawling around wasn’t ideal. To top it off we had various Cockroaches in the room to be told that our room had been sprayed to defer them, it made no difference and it actually made us dread going back to the room at night. Pool areas are ok, cleanliness again disappointed, didn’t seem cleaned very well all stained from the previous day, and my wife used the bins first thing and they were still overflowing with baby nappies from the previous day which I find quite disgusting. Sunbeds the ones with cushions are filthy, stained which is not good, as these beds are ideal with a baby to keep them out of the sun and in the shade, but they are stained with precious food etc. The main restaurant was ok, seemed plenty of food selection, and good kids area of foods for all various ages, we tried two of the Al a carte restaurants the Italian and the grill, which were both actually really good. The coffee shop is a nice added extra also. Main reception area has no aircon which is a first for me, so as you’re checking in as it’s a popular hotel and a lot from the transfer it’s not ideal when it’s 30 degrees with a baby. Hotel as a whole would say it’s a 4* obviously it gets its 5* title because of its facilities but it has a long way to go in my opinion. Special mention to the staff who all seem to go above and beyond and are really happy and welcoming. Second Tui Sensatori hotel we’ve been and a very similar review. Not sure we will trust another one.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The rooms were large and very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

We recently stayed at the Sensatori Biomar with my husband, our young son, and my sister-in-law’s family. Overall, the holiday had a mix of high and low points, and while we enjoyed our time there, we felt it didn’t quite live up to its 5-star rating. The standout elements were definitely the à la carte restaurants — every meal we had there was exceptional and truly faultless. The hotel staff, especially those working in the baby club, were fantastic. They were friendly, attentive, and made a real effort to help families feel at ease. However, there were a few areas that let the experience down. The buffet restaurant, particularly the children's section, was quite limited. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, but we found that when issues were raised, it took too long for them to be resolved. This was frustrating and didn’t match the efficiency we’d expect from a high-end resort. All in all, we had a lovely time in parts, but there were enough disappointments that we left feeling the resort is more accurately a 4-star than the 5-star experience it promises. We’d recommend it with reservations — particularly for families who may be looking for more thoughtful and inclusive amenities for young children.

Excellent hotel overall. We had a lovely 10 day stay. Good was excellent, all meals we had were great, hot and plenty of choice at the buffets. The service in a La cartes could be slow but the staff were rushed off their feet. All staff friendly and hard working, we were so impressed. Both pools great, although could be cleaned a bit more during the day. Room was a bit dated but all functional, enough space and loads of storage. Loads going on, we made the most of the activities and kids club which our child loved. The adult side is more modern and gives more of a 5* feel, although probably needs a few more umbrellas. Never any trouble getting sunbeds no matter what time of day. Entertainment- loads going on, piano bar is nice to sit and listen to music, show every night outside. We did get bitten a lot, despite repellant and bands. Beach 5/10 Mins walk, prom to walk along and touristy style shops along the way. Local market a couple evenings a week which was nice to wander. Buses go from 5 mins from hotel to all areas, cheap and easy to get to porta Cristo and caves. Taxis also easy to get, and reasonable.

Just got back from a week at this hotel and had a great trip, there are some flaws/feedback but overall a great hotel. Booked a swim up suite in the family side and this was our first trip with our 6m old baby. We booked a private transfer with PMI Taxis (who were excellent) so when we arrived it was just us checking in. When we got out of the taxi no-one came to help us with our luggage, we had a lot of suitcases and a baby so struggled with the luggage but no one was around to help and this was the same when taking it to the room, for a five star resort you do expect somebody to help. Check in was great and offered cava, room not ready yet (we were 3 hours before check in time) but we checked back in an hour and it was. The room was a good size and had everything you needed, it is dated so doesn’t necessarily feel five star but the beds are huge and comfty and the rooms are still nice. The swim up was great, pool not as cold as others I have been to and nice to have the terrace and balcony area, we do feel trees or plants or something could be put up between rooms so it’s more private. The room and the hotel was always clean. We saw one cockroach in the room but luckily this was as we were leaving to check out, no issues otherwise. Our main issue was the decking and aircon. The decking was old and broken in places. Lots of slats went down when you walked on them and also bits sticking up. I nearly tripped once and this feels unsafe when there are children especially. In the hotels defence we didn’t report it so sure it would have been sorted but it felt like the whole decking area needed replacing. Great to have the daybed outside as the sunbeds are not padded, same around the pools which is a shame as again doesn’t feel 5 star and padded sunbeds should be standard for this in my opinion. The air con wasn’t cold enough, only went to 18 and wasn’t sufficient enough to keep us all cool in the room in the daytime, we were there in early June so can only imagine the heat of summer isn’t great. Aircon should be turned down to 16 and improved. We hired a bottle steriliser for our baby and this was in our room ready but unfortunately it wasn’t very clean at all and I had to give this and the room kettle a good clean to be able to use them for the baby. Staff - All the staff we encoutered at this hotel were great, some of the friendliest staff we have ever met and they really make the trip special, can’t do enough for you and make a fuss of all the little ones. Cleaners are great and the minibar lady made sure to always leave extra water to make up our babies formula which was appreciated. Service was always fast wherever we were. Family friendly - I have never seen so many babies and small children at a hotel but honestly this made us feel so much better as no-one is worrying if their child is being too loud etc. Babyclub - Our baby did day and evening sessions, we were conflicted about leaving him but the staff were great and put us at ease an
