A very honest and fair review. I try to not write reviews to rant, so I’m going to keep it factual and honest. If you have kids, this is not a 5* hotel. Not even close. I am unsure about the adults only section as we did not experience that part of the hotel. If you manage your expectations and prepare for a 4* hotel at best, you won’t be disappointed. There are plenty of little things for the kids, a few cute extras like the park, the ‘rainy days’ toys downstairs of reception, the cinema room, the entertainment - all very lovely for the kids. The buffet also has a very cute kids section. The pool is fun for the kids, the staff are great with kids, the big beds at the pool are amazing if you have a baby to lay them down and play. The standard rooms are nice, the bath and separate shower are so good for families. Beds are comfy, cot for baby is great, storage is good, it’s very comfortable in general. Most staff are so warm and welcoming, helpful and kind. Many very good with kids. A few sassy reception staff, which is very unhelpful. Still denying the norovirus outbreak, which is baffling. Doesn’t make them very trustworthy. When we made a complaint about our rooms she said, an I quote ‘you’ve only paid for a bed, a place to lay your head, that’s it’ .. well let me tell you TUI, it’s a bloody expensive bed isn’t it 😂 The manager, he is around all hours which is a great presence, he was friendly and smiley and always seemed to want to help. Many people struck up conversation with him in all areas of the hotel, including dinner and it never seemed a hassle to him, from my point of view any way. We also had a discussion with him in a corridor and he was happy to help us, he got the issue resolved fairly quickly. He appeared to work in every corner of the hotel, which I liked to see. The maids mainly do a good job but my used teacups were never removed and my teas and sugars weren’t replaced. Some other rubbish wasn’t removed too. You are given one tiny bin for your room, with kids, especially babies in nappies, it’s unmanageable and gross. On top of this, when we’ve neatly placed rubbish and not soiled rubbish I wouldn’t expect them to clean up a gigantic mess but neatly placed coffee cups and used pre made baby milk bottles next to the used tea cups which never got cleared, It just meant our room was never fully cleaned and in all honesty felt grubby. The babies cot sheet got changed once, she spits up a bit in the night so I would have changed it daily at home. However, I do accept I possibly could have removed the sheet from the cot myself and laid it somewhere to prompt them to change it, but I would just expect them to check the bedding, her cot never got straightened up so they never even realised. The smoking area is in the main outside corridor! Right in front of the double doors to dinner. We often walked through a puff of smoke on our way in to dinner with two babies, sorry but it’s unacceptable. I am not an anti smoking p

This is not a 5 star hotel.the food was disappointing and the presentation was very poor.the staff they have work hard but the clearing of tables, food on floor , resetting of tables all very poor.the entertainment team were very good indeed.for those adults who wanted to use the piano bar or the al la carte free from children were disappointed as many very young children in most areas until late.the room we had was very basic, the offer for tea, coffee was scanty.wont be returning.

I had written a different, more positive, review, and held off posting, but after speaking with TUI complaints yesterday, I am now positing this one. I wanted to be fair, and give TUI the opportunity to be honest, and acknowledge that our holiday was ruined, but that didn’t happen. My son was extremely unwell whilst there. (We stayed 6th Aug - 10th Aug) I started to feel unwell the night before we left, and was poorly at home. The lady on the phone yesterday said that they could not proceed with my complaint, as I did not see a doctor. (I did seek help from a pharmacist whilst there, and bought medication). She then said that it was probably the heat. I tried to explain that many people were publicly vomiting whilst we were there, and she maintained that it was likely due to the heat. TUI can check this, as it said the call was recorded. Whilst there, the cleaner refused to find a new, and change our valance sheet, which was covered in vomit. I had to do it myself, and leave the soiled items in the bath. No wonder I then became ill - I had no gloves or cleaning products, just water, loo roll and towels. When I spoke with front desk, they did not acknowledge that others were ill, and said they would send a cleaner to my room: this is the lady who refused to help. The day before the violent illness, my son started to feel unwell. By evening, I had to ask for our room to be cleaned, as it had not been done all day, and I was worried. This meant taking an unwell child to a communal area, whilst they cleaned our room - he didn’t want the cleaner seeing him lay in bed. They made the bed, and gave new towels. The room was absolutely not cleaned, despite our request. The floor was still covered in bits, and the loo and sinks not cleaned. I feel that the lady on the phone yesterday gaslit me, by making out it was sickness from the heat. It wasn’t. He was so violently unwell, and so were many others. It wasn’t until I read others’ reviews that I now know there was an outbreak. I was told that whilst I couldn’t make a complaint about illness, as I hadn’t seen a doctor, I could make a complaint about cleanliness. But, she said I would need photos to prove it. Sadly, I did not have time to take photos, whilst cleaning up bodily fluids every 10 mins, and then feeling exhausted from no sleep. TUI customer advice is useless, coercive and unfair.

Having stayed in several AI hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean, it’s always difficult to match the standards you get in those hotels in Europe, especially for similar cost, so I can be hard to please! But, given that I now have a 1 year old, I’m trying to find a similar holiday with a much shorter flight time. I’ve stayed in a few 5 star AI’s in Spain and Greece over the years and never been impressed, particularly with the cheap food and alcohol they try to push on guests in the AI package. For once, I have actually been quite pleased with the offering here at Sensatori Biomar and would return again. Most things I would rate as really good, there were some things that could be improved but they weren’t major things and overall the positives more than outweighed any negatives. Resort is very clean, modern and well kept. We stayed for a week and we had no sickness or diarrhea, which I had been worried about given the reviews I had read a few weeks before. Pools were all very clean and well kept however, the toilets at the pools are not well signposted at all. In fact we had to ask and only found where they were on day 3. When we did go in them they were empty. Considering the amount of people in the pools and the fact they are drinking several drinks from a swim up bar and not many seem to know where the toilets are due to lack of signage - you can guess where they are all relieving their bladders! I know chlorine kills it somewhat but still it’s just a bit nasty to be swimming in all that wee, especially in a 5 star resort. But generally the resort is very well kept. The rooms are clean, aircon works well and they have wooden floors instead of tiles which is good and more safe if you have a small baby. I don’t know if this applies to all rooms but we had twin beds pushed together rather than a double which was slightly annoying! The cupboards and drawers in the living room had push mechanisms to open them rather than handles which again is good for small babies to stop them opening them! The room had a kettle, fridge, hairdryer, iron. The iron wasn’t the best though and if I came again I would bring my own. The shower was powerful which was good and the room had a nice deep bath. The sinks would have been fine apart from I had to wash the baby’s bottles in them as there was nowhere else in the hotel to wash bottles. They would not hold water in them even when the plug was down therefore I had to keep the water running the whole time to replace the water that was being lost down the plughole whilst washing! This was a bit annoying as I’d have liked to leave them to soak for a while but couldn’t. The TV seemed to have many channels but they were not accessible and the only ones that were, were a few German ones. This wasn’t a major issue for us as we don’t go on holiday to watch TV, but could be for some. We had a swim up room in the family section. The pool was very pretty and clean but is shared with the neighbouring apartment. There are

Honestly this is the 1st holiday I have ever reviewed and this is our 1st time visit to this resort, we are a family of 3 who nearly didn’t travel due to all the bad reviews regarding the sickness outbreak at this hotel the previous fortnight before we were due to travel but honestly I’m so glad we decided not to cancel this hotel as it’s absolutely beautiful! The hotel is immaculately clean we had a swim up room in the family side 039 which I have to say was a little chilly for us this was due to the position of the room we did only have the sun for a few hours in the morning which doesn’t really heat the pool but you do get lovely day beds and a huge terrace area to chill out on we spent some time around the main pool which was fine plenty of sunbeds were still available at 11am so no mad dash like a lot of hotels we have stayed at. The food was lovely we ate most nights in the adult side and the green & grill for lunch snacks which were tasty you will definitely not go hungry! Theas coffee shop is great little touch offering all sorts of beverage choices with biscuits and fresh donuts which were so good along with mini ice creams from the machine with lots of delicious sauces again all included in your all inclusive which I thought was a great touch. Premium drinks only none watered down and the frozen daiquiri,s by the pool were just the absolute best! Entertainment was good we stayed on the family side as we found the adult side to have absolutely NO atmosphere whatsoever we are getting older but not ready for a saga holiday just yet!! Our daughter is nearly 18 & still wouldn’t choose to stay that side even when we can as we do like a hotel with some atmosphere. Silent disco was a laugh, the piano bar was more relaxed with a saxophone player etc.. singing game too which was good to hear everyone getting involved in and having a laugh and the piano bar staff were just so lovely making sure your drinks were topped up all night. Sa coma beach gorgeous and the resort itself is beautiful so all in all we definitely wouldn’t hesitate to return to this beautiful hotel.

Great staff very friendly down to the maintenance staff to the man on front resturant manager. Food is decent no complaints. Pools are warm rooms are cleaned daily and a small walk to the beach. They are hot on cleanliness and are always disinfecting spillages and keeping on top of mess.

Please ignore any bad reviews you read about this hotel if staying in the Adults only part. The hotel and staff are truly amazing and deserves the 5 stars. The hotel is spotless and the staff work exceptionally hard to keep it that way. The buffet restaurant serves a wonderful selection of food which is fresh and excellently presented. I would definitely recommend this hotel although I cannot comment on the family side as only went there for the coffee shop.

We stayed at the Biomar on the family side from 25th August until 1st September. Firstly, we had no idea about the sickness bug that had affected the resort the previous weeks and honestly wouldn't have had any idea there had been a problem during our stay - so please don't worry if you're about to head out there! The hotel itself is nice and it is a fabulous place for children. There's lots of entertainment and it is great to have the option of the baby club for small children. Our 16 month old seemed to love the baby club sessions he went to and it was so nice to have a couple of hours break on the days he was in there. The entertainment staff were really lovely and great with children, you can tell they really enjoy what they do - so kudos to them! Overall we had a nice, enjoyable holiday. But, the family part of this resort is not 5* standard. We have stayed in multiple 5* resorts and hotels over the world and the family side of the biomar just does not match up. I can imagine the 5* rating of the hotel is associated with the newer adults only side - so please take this into consideration if you are expecting a luxury 5* holiday but you're heading there with family. I personally feel a little bit misled and it's put me off booking a tui all inclusive again - this is the first time we have tried one as thought it may have been a better option now we have a young child. I think the family side is 4* at best. We stayed in a swim up room on the ground floor, and noticed there was lots of wear and tear in the room. The decking in the swim up pool had lots of nails poking out and wood chipped away. Also the shower was never hot if you were using it at peak times when others were getting ready for dinner in the evening. Also this sounds petty but the kettle was old and full of limescale, and there were just cheap instant coffee/tea bags available. In every 5* resort we've stayed in before there's atleast been a nespresso machine to make a half decent coffee in the morning. Pool areas in the family side were very lively and fun - brilliant for children. But again, not 5* standard. You couldn't get drinks service at the sun beds and it was annoying that you could only get clean pool towels in a hour slot during the evening - we sometimes missed this which meant we had to use the same pool towels for multiple days. With regards to the food in the main canteen, again I would not class this as 5*. I found it quite repetitive despite there being a theme night on every night. Food was often lukewarm and I was put off eating the salads as they are just out in the open on a cold plate (no glass casing around them for example) and I noticed that there were little flies always hovering around. I was also conscious that there were a lot of people using the same tong for multiple different foods, so can imagine that cross contamination could be a problem for people with allergies or specific dietary needs. I know that this is a fault of the guests ra

This was our 3rd time visiting the hotel, and it did not disappoint. Absolutely no signs if any sickness for the week we we were there (23/08-30/08) Staff are outstanding and go above and beyond to help and make you feel at home. Our daughter became unwell during our stay with an war infection, we went to the tui desk in reception, they called a Dr and he arrived within 30 minutes, fantastic service. We stayed around the entertainment pool for the most of the week which was fab, if I had to nit pick I would say the music/microphones for the games could be a tad loud. The kids pool is quieter and a little bit more relaxing. Themed nights in the buffet are amazing. We stayed in a double room with our daughter, she had a put me up bed which fit alongside our bed. Rooms are a good size. 10 out of 10 stay. We cannot wait to return.
