Treat yourself and stay here - probably the best place with the best value on an expensive island. Run by the kindest and classiest French lady, in the most beautiful village - we were early and they made sure to get the room ready much before time. We were allowed to use the pool in the very luxurious beautiful sister hotel Giri where you could also have breakfast - we didn’t try but bet it’s delicious. Superbe!!!!!!!! 10 out 5!!!

What a wonderful location to stay in Ibiza. The roos are lovely and the use of the facilities in the hotel makes this a great basis to explore the island. The staff were super helpful and a big call out to Amelia, Barbara, Dolly, Lena and Sandro. Forza Italia! The breakfast was outstanding so compliments to the chef

I had previously stayed at the beautiful Giri Residence in the same town, and rebooked for a second visit some years later. My booking was cancelled and this alternative was offered to me, at a similar price. I decided to try it as it had the same owner, and the same price point from the same owner in the same town, would insinuaste a similar standard. Well, as they say, never assume. I was shocked at the difference. The entrance is a hole in the wall of a café, followed by a steep staircase. The room had a strange smell, there was a hole in the wall covered by a wonky patch of tapestry material, the room was freezing even with the air on hot/max, and the balcony which looked so pretty on the website was noisy due to a pump/air system and view of others’ property and rooms. It’s very deceptive. But the biggest shock is the value for money and the comparison to the Giri residence. They are incomparable. After spending 2 days at the stunning Montesol, to come here, expecting the Giri - genuine shock. It has its charm. The owner has a flair for interiors. But this is inaccurately marketed and priced - that is the problem. The property itself is not a problem - but what you’re sold and what you get are not the same. Also, please note that you do NOT get access to the Giri residence and its facilities, unless the Giri residence is open… The Giri is Elegant - 5 Star This is Shabby Chic - 3 Star I love the Giri and feel slightly heartbroken as I wanted to return, but given the experience and the feeling that we were misled, this has sadly put me off the whole franchise.

This is a renovated hotel with a new owner, very unpleasant. Hugely overpriced. It isn’t even an hotel. No reception, no staff. The keys were left inside the room. It isn’t even a bed and breakfast with no breakfast included nowhere to have it. The café Munro downstairs is a separate entity and not part of Gare du Nord. Basically zero facilities. The worst part, however, and they don’t tell you that, the entrance is a narrow, steep flight of stairs, two flights of stairs for the 2nd floor. No lift which you would expect at that price. We originally booked the Giri residence, more or less the same price but a completely different experience. Sadly it was cancelled. If it had been priced correctly for the type of accommodation it really is, with correct descriptions, we would have looked for somewhere else to stay after the Giri cancellation. I actually spoke to the owner. We were deceived

It took a while to get my head around it. There were a few things that needed tweaking but I don't want to be too critical post Covid. Putting that to one side this is a quirky place with is authentic, rustic and charming. It is NOT a hotel and in the end I got my head around it and am very grateful for the fact it wasn't! Our room was big with a huge balcony space and despite the quirky toilet / bathroom thing it was very much perfect for us. Some people wrote about a lack of breakfast options but I do not remember a breakfast ever being prepared with such care, love, attention to detail and not to mention great quality food. The team at breakfast were happy to adapt what they had and it was without doubt the best breakfast I have had whilst away from home. Really good communication and a great location. You WILL need a car but parking and driving is easy. Genuine people running a genuine place. We really enjoyed the place and when you have got your head around it, so will you. Thanks guys - keep going!

Ontbijt was prima! Auto is een must. Personeel was vriendelijk, schoonmaak matig. Check your website of pas hem aan!

I had to leave here the moment I entered. Poor quality of everything, beds are horrible and manky, the toilet stinks, the shower is old and not clean of limescale. There were insects everywhere, I got bit 7 times in the space of 40 minutes. It's just a dingy room and the owner is rude, he think's he's someone special (I've got screenshots). I had to demand a refund, after spending 40 minutes wasting time talking to his unhelpful staff. The owner was then rude (maybe he took the feedback personally, but if your hotel is crap then it's crap?). He still hasn't provided a full refund, so I am complaining via *********** and will then be taking legal action. The pictures look great but... not in reality.
