Overall the stay was good. I’m on a mother daughter trip with my 18 year old. The breakfast that is included is ok. It does give you the opportunity to eat first before heading out for any morning adventures. My issue with the place was a couple of staff members were incredibly rude. Thank goodness the other staff were great and made you feel welcome. And 2 days the cleaning ladies forgot to refill toilet paper. Other than that, the location is ideal!! We were out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Sorrento..but can walk there in 15minutes. It’s a 3 minute walk to Marbella beach and a great place to take photos of the beautiful scenery. Extra charges for towels at the pool etc.

We would like to warn tourists not to book at this hotel, since the manager and the staff were aggressive, disrespectful and rude when raising a complaint and responding to a problem presented with the AC of the hotel room. They alleged that there was no maintenance staff to repair the unit that day and seeing that there was no immediate solution in this regard, we expressed our decision to leave the hotel and their response was completely aggressive and even with shouts, we have evidence available for those people who wish to confirm this information before making a reservation at this hotel. From us, it is not a recommended hotel since the treatment of guests is not the best. We understand that an AC problem can happen to anyone, but the hotel's duty is to find a solution to solve the problem. Additionally, we raise complaints since it has rusty taps, cracked and poorly painted walls, and dirty bathtubs. It is important to mention that this time of summer the heat in Italy is a lot and I recommend placing devices that are in good condition that can regulate the temperature of the room and keep it cool even when the unit is off. We really wouldn't like other people to be affected like us by the bad treatment of the staff since the main idea of vacations are to enjoy and not have a bad time.

Not a 4 star hotel. Plus points - I thought the food was very tasty - not large portions but a large first course and small ish 2nd course. Hotel very clean. Nice location set back a bit from the roads. Downside - air con had been turned off so we had to leave the windows open all night which was noisy and led to the inevitable bites. Room didnt have a balcony/ outside space and when questioned the manager said you have to pay extra for this. He may have been right but dont recall this being an option when booked with Jet2 - i think ours was the only room in the whole hotel without an outside space and hotel was far from full. Staff friendly and helpful though

The hotel is delightful. It is small, functional and perfect for a solo trip. The staff are fabulous. They really make you feel valued and appreciated and make an effort to remember your name. Such attention to detail and appreciation of you as their guest is rare nowadays and one of the things that sets this hotel apart. My room was for one person which I had booked. The bathroom and balcony were large. The room was perfect for me and had everything anybody could need. I brought my own mini kettle knowing that hotels in Sorrento often don’t provide kettles. There was a mini fridge in the room and the furnishings were traditional Italian decor which I loved. The food was good - the waiters went out of their way to make sure it was perfect and always gave you a very warm welcome. The maid service was excellent . Every day when I returned from my adventures my room had been cleaned, bed made and fresh towels. It was a 15 minute walk into Sorrento which I loved. A 10 walk in the other direction led to Sant Agnello where there was a very decently priced supermarket mostly serving locals. Another 2 - 3 minute walk from the hotel was an amazing vista of the bay of Naples and breathtaking scenery. There was a very nice restaurant down there too where you could sit with a coffee and watch the work go by or indulge in some very tasty lunch. All in all an excellent place to stay. Go with the romance of Sorrento in your heart and enjoy the experience, life is too short not to.

Plus pints : Very friendly staff Rooms are clean and bed fairly comfy Rooms are very spacious with lots of hanging/cupboard space Food was generally good Great service in restaurant Minus points: No tea making facilities in room Had to pay deposit to use room safe No dedicated bar staff Bar area only had large tables Had to order evening meal at breakfast No variation on breakfast Some odd selections for evening meal , one night dessert was grapes Had to pay for towels for pool In summary, this is a well run, family hotel but let’s itself down by claiming to be 4 star which it clearly isn’t

The dinners at this hotel are not good very small portions. More like child portions. One bread roll with dinner with no butter offered. The tea was like dish water obviously using the cheapest tea bags. Bed hard as a rock like sleeping on a board. some of the resturant staff either didn't speak or abrupt. No slip mat in bath for showering ( Health and Safety) no tea making facilities in the room. Cake from dinner offered at breakfast. Deck hairs outside on mud and weeds. No table and chairs outside. Not a 4 star hotel.

We arrived at the hotel on September 17th and was welcomed by Antonio he was very professional and very helpful we were given are key and directed to our room, the room was very clean and quiet spacious the bathroom was reasonable but you had to stand in the bath to take a shower it was a bit slippery moving about and getting out, (we would have liked just a walk in shower but that's us) we went into the dining room and went welcomed by the staff and showed to are table were you had your evening meal and breakfast (table for two) little bit disappointed because we would have thought because your with a small party on the same tour could have put us together tables of 6 people ( just like the French party) the evening meals were generally good we thought the starters were the best out of the 3 courses, breakfast was the same choice every day but again pretty good no complaints there, we went out and about everyday when we came back to the hotel it was usually Antonio or the young lady assistant with (dark hair and glasses) they were very friendly and helpful and chatty thankyou too both of you, so overall we expected a little more but that might just be us, thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome George and Donna Thorold from Lincoln

The hotel itself is very clean on first impressions. Very light and airy also. The receptionist was lovely, very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome from the start. The elderly gentleman on reception was also nice and very helpful. The lifts up to the rooms are small but worked OK, no hiccups at all while we were there. We were on the second floor which has a bit of a strange lay out. We were in room 208 which also has room 207 attached for families if need be, a door separates the two and I'm not sure if the two rooms would share the bathroom or not. You open the outer door which says 208 which is on the right as you go in, bathroom on the left and 207 is straight ahead . The bathroom was small but adequate with a bath, loo, bidet and sink. The taps are old and slightly corroded and need a good clean as there was black mold around the tap heads. The shower head was also old and hadn't been moved in a long time so was stuck in one position and took a bit of persuasion to be adjusted. The bath is quite narrow but on a plus the water was hot all of the time. All in all OK. The bedroom was a good size with twin beds pushed together, they're very firm but I slept better than expected. Patio doors led out on to a balcony which overlooked the pool and garden area. Cleaning staff clean the rooms every day supposedly changing the towels every two days but I think our towels were actually only changed once in the week we were there. Downstairs in the bar area there are comfy chairs to sit on, then you go through to the dining room which is a fair size and very ornate. Food was fairly basic, not a great deal to choose from. The starter course was generally the better choice than the main because If you don't like eggs or pork you would struggle. Omelette of some description was on the menu most nights as was pork, all were accompanied by vegetables of the chefs choice which was usually potatoes and one other veg. Dessert was usually a piece of cake or a moose or fruit salad. Portions were quite small but in general enough for myself. I found it quite tasty but some others complained of it being bland. You also have to choose your evening meal at breakfast time. Dinner was 7pm - 8pm but they preferred you to be earlier rather than later. Unfortunately the waiting staff weren't quite so friendly, the female waitress was quite abrupt at times or just blatantly ignored you just putting the food down infront of you and the elderly gentleman never spoke at all. The younger man was the most pleasant of them all. The hotel is about a 15-20 minutes walk from Piazza Tasso with various route you can take but very busy with cars and mopeds speeding through.
