I had a fabulous week in St Johann in Tirol and really enjoyed my stay at Sport Hotel Austria. Everything was perfect. The hotel and facilities, bedroom, garden, gym and pool, lovely table for breakfast and dinner, fantastic food and great friendly service. I recommend the half board option, very tasty food; believe me, you will not go away hungry! Local drink prices reasonable too. St Johann is a lovely place and a great base for hiking and exploring the Tirol. The St Johann guest card issued by the hotel (for stays over 2 days) is very good for free bus, train, gondola trip etc in the area. I would 100% come back and stay in this hotel again. A week just wasn't long enough!

We had 3 nights at the sportshotel with half pension. Excellent hotel for families or couples seeking relaxation or an active vacation. The staff offered excellent services and kindly met any request we had during our stay. Food served tasted excellent. I’ll definitely consider to revisit the venue again. Thanks for a great stay. My wife and I stayed for a week at Sporthotel Austia with Inghams. The hotel was very Tyrolean, clean and is situated 15 minutes walk from the centre of St Johann, and 7 minutes walk to the gondola station. Our room was adequately sized with a balcony which looked on to the Kitzbüelerhorn, and the en suite room was spacious with a shower, but no bath. The food in the hotel was excellent, with lots of choice at breakfast, and a 5 course evening meal, which was served in the garden, weather permitting. All the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The drinks were under UK prices. The hotel package was extremely generous with complimentary cakes and open sandwiches in the afternoon which were always gratefully received after a long walk. There was also a complimentary fruit bowl in the reception area. This is an excellent holiday hotel and we would both recommend it.

Das ganze Team war super nett und zuvorkommend Tolle Lage und wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer mit Balkon Abends wurde im Garten gegessen. Wir und unser Hund können das Hotel mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen

Very happy with our stay at Sporthotel. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and had stunning views. Food and service in the restaurant was fantastic. Lovely gardens to relax and have a drink. BBQ held one evening was an extra bonus. Location is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk to the mountain cable car, which brings you up to the Kitzbuhel horn, 15 mins walk to the train station and less than 10 mins to the town. St Johann in Tirol is a nice sized market town, plenty of shops, cafes etc.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel as the base for our Great Rail Journeys holiday Our stay was excellent: food, the room and service were all first class. Sonia and her staff were very attentive and we would certainly recommend this hotel Location was excellent for looking around St Johann. It was ideally located for touring the Tirol area

Tolle Lage, ruhig und doch schnell im Ortszentrum. Super Service, schönes Hotel, alle super nett. Total hundefreundlich. Balu konnte im extra Bereich mit zum Frühstück. 1000 Prozent weiterempfehlen kann ich das Hotel Austria. Wir kommen immer wieder.

A fantastic week. We had a late skiing break- a very short walk to the closest gondola for the local ski area. The boot room is good but not locked, and with people free to come and go in the hotel, we did wonder about security (although had no issues). The wellness area is great- just be warned that swimming costumes are often not worn in the sauna, in case that impacts you. Food was excellent, although their fish dishes were sometimes overcooked. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Reasonably- priced drinks. They charge for tap water with meals but not very much. A short walk into town and to the train station - we caught the train a few times to Kitzbuhel, and got the bus to Scheffau for more skiing. Don't forget to get the St Johann guest card for free local travel. Overall, a fantastic stay and we would definitely consider returning.
