Everything was perfect. Kindness on a reception are on highest level. Room was also top, except the bed was to soft. Restaurant with 6-gang menu and breakfast exceptional. We will return soon.

This is actually the first review I’ve ever written—I normally don’t leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share just how incredible our experience at Seekarhaus was. What a trip! As an avid skier who has been hitting the slopes every year since 1999—whether with friends, family, university groups, the Army, or more recently introducing my youngest to skiing—I’ve seen a fair share of resorts. And I can confidently say, Seekarhaus stands out. The Hotel: Simply outstanding. We stayed in a room just above the basic category—it was spacious, clean, and full of natural light. The Bar & Food: Both were excellent. Kids were served dinner at 6:30, followed by an incredible seven-course meal for the adults each evening. The wine list was impressive, though I would’ve loved to see a few more local Austrian reds! The Staff: Exceptional. The entire Krings family made us feel truly welcome—as if we were part of their family. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. Ski School: Top-notch. The nursery slope right outside the hotel and the skilled, approachable instructors made all the difference. My youngest went from complete beginner to confidently skiing a giant slalom on a red run in just six days! Das Seekarhaus is a hidden gem—great value, unbeatable service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We’ll absolutely be booking again.

This was our second year in a row and the Das Seekarhaus was faultless again. The staff are amazing, the room was lovely, the facilities excellent and the food is very high quality. The location and ski shop on site makes everything so easy to get out and ski. It was a perfect family holiday.

We just spent a memorable week at Das Seekarhaus - beautiful location, amazing ski in-ski out set up including one of the friendliest ski school we have experienced, delicious food and great amenities (the spa is a real treat while the pool was a total hit with the kids!). Das Seekarhaus has it all! We will definitely be back!

Our ski vacation at Hotel Das Seekarhaus was absolutely amazing! Perfect for families, with everything set up for the kids. The ski-in, ski-out access made hitting the slopes effortless. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back! ⛷️❄️✨

We just booked our stay for next year—and that speaks volumes. This hotel is hands down the best high-end ski resort in Austria, perfectly balancing luxury with family-friendly amenities. It features an exclusive adults-only spa floor, so parents can unwind while the kids enjoy their own dedicated space. Ski lessons begin right at the hotel rather than somewhere off in town, and children even enjoy a specially reserved dining area during classes. Beyond skiing, the hotel offers unparalleled activities for kids, ensuring fun for the whole family. After a day on the slopes, it’s all about relaxing by the pool, savoring gourmet meals, and indulging in the finest wines. Plus, with private Tuesday morning skiing exclusively for guests—thanks to the family’s ownership of the slopes—it really doesn’t get any better in Austria’s most reliably snowy region.

How to Ruin Someone’s Holiday in 5 Minutes: A Das Seekarhaus Experience At Das Seekarhaus, it’s astonishingly easy to leave a bitter taste at the end of a holiday. On the last day of our stay, my wife’s skis were stolen. When we contacted the hotel, we were told her skis were insured, but mine weren’t because the insurance box on my form wasn’t ticked—something nobody had bothered to highlight. Miraculously, we found the stolen skis at the Kringsalm skibar near the hotel. When returning them to the ski rental, we politely suggested the staff inform guests that insurance isn’t automatic and must be selected. The young employee’s response? A dismissive, “I shouldn’t say anything. Just read the form.” When I pointed out that this attitude was unworthy of a five-star establishment, he called his manager, who stormed in, shouting at my wife: “How old are you? Are you 18? You insult me—get out and never come back!” My wife, in tears, and I immediately went to reception to report the incident. The receptionist’s response? “Sorry, but I can’t do anything—he’s married to one of the owners.” After spending over €6,000 for a short birthday holiday, we left feeling humiliated and disregarded. At checkout the next day, no one from management had even been informed of the incident. The message was clear: at Das Seekarhaus, guests are nothing more than cash cows.
