Wir sind aus München angereist, in der Hoffnung auf ein charmantes Alpenhotel mit österreichischer Gastfreundschaft. Leider war das Hotel Alpenland in St. Johann nicht wie erwartet. Fangen wir bei den Zimmern an: hellhörig, teilweise sehr abgewohnt. Man merkt einfach, dass das Haus seine besten Jahre lange hinter sich hat. Dazu kommt, dass es sich offenbar um ein altes Timesharing-Resort handelt – was nirgends offen kommuniziert wird. Viele der sehr internationalen Gäste scheinen selbst im Zimmer zu kochen, was man dann leider auch riecht. Das passt einfach überhaupt nicht zum Anspruch eines Alpen- oder Wanderhotels. Was uns aber richtig geärgert hat: Der Text auf der Homepage ist schlichtweg irreführend. Es gibt keinen hauseigenen Garten, aus dem täglich frische Salate oder Kräuter auf den Teller kommen, wie dort groß angekündigt wird. Stattdessen TK Apfelstrudel und Convenience Paella bei mediterranen Buffet ( eben typisch Österreich das Essen ;-)). Den ausgelobten täglich Kuchen gab es auch nicht. Man stellt sich eigentlich vor, dass man in einem Alpenhotel auch mal ein Kuchenangebot (Marielle, Apfel…) hat. Im Ort gab es aber nette Cafés- die waren weitaus besser vom Angebot. Eierspeisen zum Frühstück wurden auch nicht individuell angeboten sondern nur am Buffet ein Rührei aus fertigem Eipulver. In anderen Alpenhotels wurde man morgens gefragt ob es ein Spiegelei oder Omlett sein darf. Vermutlich zu viel Arbeit….bei dem Preis den man zahlt kein guter Aufenthalt.

🌟 Recomendación 100% merecida 🌟Durante mi estadía en el Hotel Alpenland de St. Johann in Pongau, tuve el privilegio de disfrutar de un desayuno excepcional: variado, fresco, delicioso y con opciones para todos los gustos. Una verdadera experiencia gourmet para comenzar el día. ✨ Pero lo que realmente hizo la diferencia fue la atención en el bar, especialmente gracias a Erik, el bartender. Profesional, amable y con una creatividad inigualable. ¡Sus tragos no solo son espectaculares, son verdaderas obras de arte! 🍸👏

Anche se la struttura è un po’ datata, l’hotel conserva la sua bellezza estetica. La nostra camera era bella e spaziosa, il letto grande e comodo, il bagno con vasca e doccia, tutto molto pulito. Televisore con grande schermo, anche se non si vedono i canali italiani. Bellissimo il giardino adibito a solarium e la piscina con zona benessere. Unico neo la signora delle pulizie che bussa alle 8:30 tutte le mattine nella speranza di poter accedere alla camera. Se non si vuol essere svegliati ricordarsi di mettere il segnale fuori dalla porta.

The pillows were the flattest I’ve ever used. We didn’t enjoy the neighboring balcony. They smoked all the time. We couldn’t keep our door open. Your housekeepers were the best. Very accommodating.

Lidt kedelig oplevelse
Vi havde valgt hotellet specifikt fordi at der var pool. Poolen var desværre lukket på grund af tekniske udfordringer. Så det var en noget dyr overnatning, og vi fik ikke rigtig hvad vi havde betalt for.
Vi spiste på hotellets restaurant om aftenen. Måtte desværre vente en time på maden. Og da det så endelig kom havde de lavet en forkert ret til vores datter. Hun måtte derfor vente yderligere 15 minutter på sin mad.
Men ellers var værelserne dejlige og personalet meget søde.

It was our 4th time at Alpenland Hotel. The hotel has a great location, you can reach a lot of nice places in a short time. The room was good sized, comfortable with a nice terrace. We had a quick check-in, the employees at the reception desk were kind and helpful. Generally speaking all the employees we met were polite, kind, The food in the restaurant was great as usual - half pension, a la carte, buffet we tried all of them. The hotel has a nice wellness area- much to our regret the jacuzzi was out of order when we arrived and on Friday there was some sparepart problem with the swimmingpool too, so they closed it down. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay again at the hotel and would definitely come back again.

The reception desk was very helpful in answering all our questions. The rooms were fabulous and cleaned well. Everyone we encountered working at the hotel was helpful, kind and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return one day. Our only constructive comment would be for the laundry facilities. The machines were in good working order and the instructions clear. However, the iron and the ironing board have seen better days. I would encourage the hotel to replace them. Thanks again for a fabulous stay!
