We flew into Frankfurt and drove to Hotel Schloss Rheinfels for a gorgeous stay on the Rhine. We booked the Tower Suite and the view was spectacular. Dinner at the on site restaurant was fine dining with an extensive wine list. The staff spoke English which helped tremendously. Definitely recommend a stay for easy access to the town and activities. Wish we had taken advantage of the spa but we were too tired from traveling. The tower suite was perfect for a luxury stay. Huge bathroom with bathtub, living room with balcony, and a comfortable bed. Great stay!

Wir waren nicht im Schloss sondern in der angrenzenden Villa untergebracht. Bei Regen nicht optimal mit dem Weg ausserhalb zum Frühstück oder in den Wellnessbereich. Die beiden Komfortzimmer hatten deutlich unterschiedliche Ausstattungen trotz angeblich gleicher Standarts, relativer Neubau und Altbau. Das Frühstück hielt sich in der Auswahl in Grenzen, Rührei kalt, hartgekochte Eier vom Vortag oder älter. Schwitzige Wurst. Auch Kuchen glutenfreies Backwerk wurde in Frischhaltefolie vom Vortag angeboten. Das rechtfertigt keinesfalls den Preis von 380 € für 2 Übernachtungen. Beim sonntäglichen Abendessen habe ich Spargel mit Kartoffeln und gebratenem Zander bestellt. Der Spargel war wässrig, ohne Geschmack und Geruch (auch nicht danach). Die Kartoffeln waren so hart, da war sogar der Kellner erschrocken. Man hat mir ein neues Essen angeboten, aber was soll sich schon beim Spargel verändern. Dafür gab es ein Freigetränk. Und das in einem Hotel, das in seiner Hochglanzbroschüre mit Außergewöhnlichkeit wirbt (Zitat des Gründers Dr. Lohbeck).

We had a great stay at the Burg Hotel and will stay there again. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was awesome. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We had dinner in the downstairs restaurant and the waitress was great. The selection of food was slightly less then we would have liked, but the food was good.

We stayed at the Schlosshotel Rheinfels for the first time and chose the hotel because of its exceptional location, right on the Rhine and not far from the world-famous Loreley rock. The castle is located next to the old castle ruins and has an unforgettable view of the Rhine valley. We were immediately impressed by the place and the castle. The hotel manager and his team have managed to turn the castle into a unique place of hospitality. We had a beautiful room with a fantastic view and had a royal meal in the restaurant. The head chef knows how to prepare regional dishes in a sophisticated and skilful way. The attentive and very friendly service in the restaurant turns a good meal into a wonderful evening. It is not a hotel for cheap package holidays, but a great place for special occasions and for enjoyment. We will definitely be back. Andreas & Nathalie L.

The room with view over the Rhine met our expectations. The wellness center was disappointing. The steam bath had no steam, the pool was very dirty around the edges, the floor was slippery, and there was only one changing cabin for all visitors. The drinks menu in the restaurant had a considerable choice of wine, but minimalist non-alcoholic drinks. At breakfast, the jams were infested with drosophila.

Even if the hotel is beautiful and the catering is excellent, the spa turned out to be very disappointing: 5 deckchairs in all by the pool, and the only shower in the sauna was broken… the hammam was functioning randomly . Furthermore, an empty box of tissues and shower gel in the bathroom of the room.

Our favourite hotel on our 3 week trip staying at 10 different hotels. It was a nice break close to the middle of our trip. The spa services with a pool, steam room, and two saunas, as well as massage services allowed us to unwind. We were greeted very warmly by the front staff and given a tour while we were waiting for our room to be ready. The two restaurants were very nice. The included breakfast was great and the room was perfect. We stayed in the Deluxe room with a Rhine view. This put us in the back building. The back building also has their own front desk. The room was quite large and had nice decor. We wish we stayed here longer. The castle ruins are not included by only cost 6 euro to enter. Our only difficulty is the shuttle from the hotel down to Sainkt Goar does not operate everyday, only weekends during the fall and winter months. Not hard to walk, but does suck for luggage. There are taxi services though.
