Stayed here with friends over ten years ago and thought we would return. The hotel is in an excellent location right by the Galzig lift and near the Rendle lift and easy walk into the town. Our room was spacious, big enough to have a small desk area, two seater settee, fridge and with a large bathroom and very clean. Only downside was that it was very warm even with the heat turned off. We had a slope side (no balcony) room which was very noisy from mid-afternoon until 7pm due to Basecamp bar and live very loud music. If the window was closed you could hardly hear it but because it was hot, we tended to have the window open. Great underground parking at no extra cost As mentioned, there is a small fridge in the room – excellent for chilling the drinks and then drinking downstairs pre-dinner in the cosy communal lounge area (there is no bar in the hotel but a nice area for afternoon tea (and cake provided) or your own drinks. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent.
