…das liegt nicht allein am Skigebiet und den wunderbaren Hütten, sondern vor Allem am Himmlhof! Nirgends kann man den schönen Dezemberschnee so genießen wie hier. Wenn man dann in der „guten Stube“ sitzt und von draußen dumpf der Bass, der Ski Opening Bühne durch das dicke Holz dröhnt, dann fühlt man sich einfach nur rundum Wohl, geborgen und ordert den nächsten Rosé zur täglichen Jause. Himmlisch!!!!

Fantastic hotel
A really great hotel. Excellent suite upgrade and super friendly and helpful Penz family hosts. The indoor pool was perfect.

Best hotel in area
Nicest place we stayed on our 2 week vacation to Switzerland ,Austria, and Germany. Family owned boutique hotel with an amazing spa area.

Himmlhof is heaven!
Staying at Himmlhof is like coming home. The Penz family who runs the hotel are extremely service minded and thoughtful into every little detail. Breakfasts and afternoon tea are healthy, generous and keep a very high quality. The hotel is meticulously maintained and exudes a typical alpine cosy charm with warm wooden details, high quality fabrics and interior accessories. It’s a 10 out of 10 and we will definitely be back!

Himmlhof was perfect in every way. This is a small hotel steps away from the main part of town. Easy walk to the train station. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and the attention to detail was unmatched! Staff, food, spa, decor, every bit was 10/10. We will be back!

One of the greatest places we have ever stayed. My wife and I (middled-aged couple from the US) stayed at the Himmelhof for 10 days in August to attend the St. Anton film festival and to enjoy the Alpine outdoors. It would be hard to overstate the genuine warmth and caring of this family-run gem, which provided us with a real home away from home. We had a totally charming, wood-filled room with an amazingly comfortable bed; breakfast was more than ample and delicious; the afternoon cake was the tops; and the sauna and pool fantastic. But the best part of all was the family who runs the hotel and their staff. It feels strange to even provide a “review” of such perfect hospitality, because it comes so obviously from the heart. Five stars are not enough. If we ever have the chance to stay here again, we will feel very, very lucky.

The Penz family were delightful hosts. Wonderful recommendations, delicious breakfast, afternoon snack and cocktails, and the rooms were well appointed and the spa facilities first rate.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male in diesem grossartigen Wohlfühl-Hotel und können es nur empfehlen. Es passt einfach alles: das Ambiente, der erstklassige Service, das reichhaltige Frühstück und die herrliche Jause sowie der Pool und die Sauna. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

This isn't like any other hotel. In the Himmlhof it feels like you are adopted as part of the family as soon as you walk through the door. The family Penz always showes the most sincere interest in your well being and shows the care one would otherwise only expect for family and closest friends. The authenticity with which you are always greeted with the kindest of smiles and a chat is heartwarming. On top of that; the hotel itself is one of the best examples of fine Austrian architecture and decoration. In short; the best hotel one can stay in by far.
