The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I left my Fitbit watch and charger in the room. I called and asked for it to be shipped back to me. I did say I would pay for the return and would like it back asap. The manager called to say he would mail my watch and charger back and that I did not need to pay for the return. I thought that was very kind of the manager to do that. I would recommend this hotel. It was nothing fancy but very clean, nice and a pleasant room. ..... Anna

Reserved a room for one night (a bit overpriced for the area but was OK). The owner requires a $100 security deposit but you only get $94 back--and all of the deposit if you give them cash----when I said why, I was told it's a tax on it--NEVER hear of that. The 2 people at the desk (they were very helpful) had a hard time with my credit card--which made me even more nervous. In the end, the owner waived the fee because of the issue they were having putting it on my card, plus a line waiting to check-in.. The next morning i received a fraudulent charge notice from my credit card company. I went to the office to assure the deposit was not on the card--the owner started yelling at me saying I was unhappy about this and that--which was not true at all. Long story....NEVER stay at the Sanford Inn for any reason!!! The owner yelling at me, issue with using a credit card. Best to find a nicer place in the area. Just my advice.
