Housekeep is doing a horrible job here. I really regret not choosing a different indoor water park in Sandusky, Ohio. We booked a kid cabin suite. It was crammed for a room that sleeps 5. You can’t really call it a suite. Really a regular size hotel room advertised as a family suite, the bathroom is almost too small to close the door. A large person would not fit. Dirty towels under the kids bed when we got in the room. Visible dust at top of blinds and ledge to the kid cabin partition. Floor not cleaned well. Dirt on wall under sink. Water park doesn’t open until 10. Dunkin doughnuts very very slow. You could eat a steak dinner for what we paid for pizza and wings. I get it is resort prices just putting in to perspective. Breakfast not included. Kids enjoyed water park but there was an employee that was acting intoxicated telling parents he needed to walk through the toddler pool like where were we supposed to stand ? He disappeared for 10 minutes while the pool had no lifeguard. It was bizarre. Most other employees were friendly. Arcade way more expensive then normal. No mini golf at this location. Bowling alley is not real bowling it has four lanes with plastic balls. We will not be returning.

Our only clue that this was not an ordinary 3 night stay in a hotel room was the astronomical points charge made by RCI. As we were trying to use up points we did not query it. This nearly 80 year old couple found the stairs a challenge when the elevators were out of action for most of our stay. The resort and car parking charge was exorbitant for a couple who just wanted a quiet hotel room, and that room was not serviced once during our stay so we did not get much for our money..

Great place if you have younger kids not a lot to do if you have a teenager staff is very helpful and polite we did enjoy our stay could use a place to dry our towels and swim wear though that would be very helpful instead of taking wet clothes home to put in the dryer

We’ve been coming here multiple times per year for years. I was very disappointed this last visit. First, they charge you to park - without even asking if you have a cat there. They just tack on $15/night. It has its own, large parking lot. It’s not limited in any way, there is absolutely no reason to charge for parking. I was blindsided by this, as when I made my reservation, it only listed 2 resorts that pay to park. Not Sandusky. The desk attendant said “yeah they just decided to make it across the board and charge here too.” Next, no more room microwaves! Having a microwave has always been a nice perk. I asked and was told “no rooms have microwaves, but you can find one at the end of the hall on the 2nd and 3rd floors.” We were on the 4th floor, this is a major inconvenience. It was implied they never had microwaves in the room. That’s simply not true, they have been removed. No more clock tower show with animatronics. This was actually stopped at our last visit, but I’m mentioning it now as it’s just added to the list of things they take away, you get less and less each visit, while paying more and more. It’s time for some sort of addition, it’s already the smallest GWL, so when they do things like adding parking, it shouldn’t be held to the same price gouging as some of the bigger, better parks are held. Rooms are always fairly clean. Staff is usually friendly, but this time was not accommodating or apologetic for my complaints. I did address the issues I had, but was pretty much blown off. In the past, if I had an issue, they attempted to make it right in some way. Not this time. We’ve always enjoyed the smaller, cozy vibes as opposed to Kalahari. I think it’s time for us to make the move over to Kalahari, as GWL acts like a large resort in their fees, but actually isn’t.

This GWL is a bit more dated than other locations and the waterpark is smaller. But we still had a good time. Room was clean, staff was friendly. We had to make a noise complaint about the rude people above us at midnight and it was dealt with immediately. However, the new pay parking fee isn't cool. It's not like it's downtown in a major city. The previous policy of paying for closer parking makes sense but $15 a night for everyone is outrageous. Just another cash grab on top of already high prices. It's just plain greedy.

Great wolf lodge is always fun! Kids always enjoy when we stay here. This location thou have a lesser varieties of pools and slides. And a small one too compared to the other Great Wolf Lodges we’ve been to. No climbing ropes. They also have a curfew for the Magi quest here. A few selections of build a bear stuff. They do have the bowling, mining and arcade here. Also I’m not sure about other people but we always get sick after our stay in any GWL. They really need to maintain the cleaning because especially with kids accidentally pooping and peeing everywhere. We still love GWL because of the stay and swim options they do and themed room they offer but won’t on this exact location. Update on their room, they don’t have microwave anymore, only by the ice machine. So you have to wait if theres a lot of people. Also the pizza place don’t have a dining option which is a bummer.

The room was ok….but the overall feel is very, very dirty and overused. I went so my kids could experience the waterpark….but honestly everything was so dirty I just hope we don’t get sick. And the add in taxes and fees really are outrageous…..really deceptive pricing on the per nite charges!

We always enjoy a Great Wolf Lodge visit, but this will probably be our last visit. They've made quite a few changes and not all of them are good. The first thing you discover, when pulling into the parking lot is that they now charge an extra fee for parking. There are signs all over the parking lot, letting you know. I just wonder where else is a person going to park? Why do they feel the need to charge you for something else, during your visit? When you get to your room, they no longer have the little bottles of shampoo/body wash/lotion. They are in big pump bottles, attached to the wall, in the bathroom. I do somewhat understand them doing that, to be more environmentally friendly. They also got rid of the in-room microwave. There is a communal microwave, down the hall, next to the ice machine. That's really inconvenient. Even with these inconveniences, We still had a good time. Our room was clean and comfortable. Every staff member I had contact was super friendly and helpful. That was much appreciated.

Room was spacious and clean. 2 bedroom with balcony. Water park was small but clean. Disappointed there was no wave pool but that is kind of my own fault for not reading. Park was mostly suitable for 4-8 year olds. Staff was great. Shout out to Donovan in the gift shop. Food was so so.
