Good location, but not living up to expectations
Good location next to best shopping and dining. Good breakfast served at nearby hotel. Spacious rooms. Mold in the rooms, poor and not very friendly service, many technical issues, for example they could not make keys for our rooms and wifi worked only half of the time. Tried to charge extra for breakfast that was included. All in all, not what to expect from a 5 star hotel

Un excellent emplacement à Mandela square : proche de tout pour travailler, faire du shopping et manger. En revanche les appartements ont mal vieilli : pas en occultant aux fenêtres, canapé défoncé et ménage presque bien. Il n’empêche que c’est un bon rapport qualité/prix avec en prime un petit déjeuner délicieux

This hotel could be a pearl in Sandton, however, the photos of the property hide investment in maintenance. One of only a few hotels we’ve stayed in which has so few sockets for charging a laptop or indeed a phone.
We found blood on the tiles in one of the two bathrooms in the 2 bedroom suite. The pigeons enjoyed our jacuzzi on the enormous balcony. We certainly weren’t going to get into that tub.
A disappointing stay which didn’t meet our expectations.

I liked the friendly and helpful staff, nice furnishings in the apartments and adequately stocked with all the necessities for such accommodation! The bed was comfortable with very nice bed linen! Like the proximity to Sandton City and Mandela Sq! All in all I thought the Raphael was very good value for money!
I did not like the view from my room.. faced the wall (but at least it wasn’t concrete and plain, but would have preferred a city view!

Worst Hotel Experience Ever – Do Not Stay Here I had the absolute worst experience at this hotel. Upon arriving early, the staff showed me the room I was supposed to get, only to make me wait another 3 hours for it to be cleaned. Then, they tried to tell me they made a mistake and wanted to move me to another room. I spent 2 hours going back and forth with their staff (specifically Chris) before they finally resolved the issue. The next day, things got even worse. I received a letter from Joseph asking me to vacate the room I had paid for because they had a so-called "VIP guest" coming. They wanted me to move to another room, disrupting my vacation for another 3 hours. After arguing, they finally let me stay in the room, but the stress and inconvenience were beyond frustrating. At checkout, Chris tried to hit me with a R4,600 bill for breakfast, despite my reservation clearly stating that breakfast was included. When I disputed this, he suddenly claimed I owed more money for the room, which I had already paid in advance. Absolutely ridiculous. To top it off, their so-called outdoor jacuzzi is not heated, which makes it completely pointless. This hotel is disorganized, unprofessional, and a total waste of money. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else. I will never return.

Fantastic suite. Great service and value for money. Beats hotels as rooms with lounge, kitchen and easy access to Mandela Square and all the restaurants and entertainments, security excellent. Includes valet parking. Staff are pleasure Highly recommend
