The Bell Lodge

Traveled over from NZ and stayed at Bell Lodge for the second year Perfect location for walking and parking Beautiful Rooms , excellent cuisine with tailor made option. Everything from cleanliness to generous hospitality . Gordon and Emma were the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble in making our stay such a pleasurable one. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Just faultless. Perfect hosts, the breakfast was as good as you can get - great choice of food, well cooked and couldn’t fault it. Rooms spotless. Ample parking in front of the lodge. The Bell Lodge is up there with the best!! Will certainly be back.

What a gem. Emma & Gordon are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them, a real home from home. Room was very clean, good supply of tea, coffee & biscuits.and if you needed fresh towels just ask. Breakfast just amazing, you can build your own, all freshly cooked, also fresh fruit yogurt & cereals. Car parking, which is a plus, beach within easy walking distance, and nearby bus stops, and a good service. Would definitely stay here again

Had a nice 3 days staying at the bell Lodge great hosts Emma and Gordon couldn't do enough breakfast was great slept well . Emma found the keys I put them in a pair of socks we had a extra hours journey to pick the other set mark wasn't best pleased as you can imagine Thanks again guys till we meet again with the next car x

By far the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Unfortunately Emma and Gordon made it so welcoming, homely, friendly and relaxing, that we didn't want to leave. They are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and happy. We stayed in room 1 and the bed was so comfortable. The bed base was brilliant with the storage, so much so, we are looking at buying one ourselves. Tea and coffee facilities are stocked. Lovely view of the sea. The shower was large and refreshing. The room had lovely decor and cannot fault it. Emma's breakfasts were amazing and cooked fresh, with plenty of options. Gordon makes a perfect brew as well. We made use of the comfy sitting room when we chilled after a lovely day out and also the garden in the evening as it was still warm. Location is great and the beach is within walking distance ( though we're too lazy for that exercise in 29 degrees lol). A good base for many attractions within easy reach. Now we come to Benji The Bell Lodge Bear. The large bear is part of the family at Bell Lodge and we found him in various places and poses the 1st day or two. This set a challenge, and soon we too were dressing him and playing along. It caused a giggle between us all, and other guests were looking out for him. A great touch for The Bell Lodge. Look out for him. Top marks on everything. As Arnie would say "I'll be back".

We stayed at The Bell Lodge from 2nd to 9th September 2023 and the owners, our hosts Emma and Gordon could not do enough for us. Breakfast served fresh every day, with cereals, fruit and yogurt along with tea or coffee. You can also fill out the simple daily form to request a cooked breakfast, which was brilliant. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and well serviced, daily if required. The B&B was spotless and very well cleaned and they had a comfortable guest lounge to use with a TV and games. A pleasant garden to sit in. They had a B&B helper called Benji The Bell Lodge Bear who was great fun. Would I go again? Absolutely
