Hotels with Breakfast in Sandakan

Very clean and lovely hotel with a very nice outdoor pool. I stayed there just for one night. Breakfast was very delicious and variant. Close to the city center with multiple local restaurants.

1. Lack of comfortable seats at lobby. Used to have sofas, which replaced with wooden chairs now and it's limited. If the policies dont allow customer to check in earlier then please provide more seats for customers to wait. Because alot of customer waiting for check in, we have to sit at dining area to wait for check in and it's hot inside. 2. Lobby are surrounded by glasses, expected it would be hotter. The current Air cond system at lobby can't provide a comfortable environment. It's quite warm inside. 3. Some Ushers at lobby appears less friendly. 4. Room cleanliness are acceptable. 5. Wifi from room not stable. Need to reconnect few times during movie time 6. Shower gels are limited. 7. Breakfast: -rice noodles are acceptable. -dishes are bit salty. -suggest to provide more varieties ie: croissant, nasi lemak, potatos. 8. Our room coridor door can't be locked.

Glad that I stayed just for 1 night, but that 1 night cause me to have a bar flu, as I am allergic to dusty. The place itself is okay, and quite convenient for those who just want to stay for a day transit, as it is near to the airport, and only 20mins to Sepilok Orang Utan. The place is rundown, as u can see in the pictures, they seem not to have effort to change the bad wall paper, clean the dusty etc. Really need to refurbish again. Stay away if u have an allergic to dusty, u will regret like me. But a good area for transit in terms of location. Breakfast food was just okay.

Central in the main town, great base for day tours to the parks/sanctuary/River. Few options for food along the waterfront. Sandakan seems a quiet town with a few tourists but mainly local (v friendly) population, clearly a short stop/jump off spot. Options for 'drinks' are few - this is a no alcohol establishment, but there is a roof bar 3 mins walk for an evening beverage (the baling Hotel roof). Very clean..comfy bed, great aircon and hot shower. For the price the included breakfast had fresh fruits, to order omelets /eggs/ rice/ noodles and toast. No complaints!!!

We got this location on a cancellation by another hotel and couldn't have been more pleased. Our Junior Suite was spacious and comfortable. The buffet was excellent and dinner at the Chinese restaurant on 1st floor terrific. Not Halal certified (i.e.: Pork and liquor served here) we enjoyed the dim-sum brunch on Saturday. The evening entertainment left everyone happy with pictures to remember the performance. The owner is a fantastic host. Limited English programming on TV. A destination in itself.

Hotel Labuk in Sandakan offers a comfortable and pleasant stay with its modern amenities and friendly staff. The rooms are well-maintained, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The hostel is basic and there's no two ways about it. Yes it's cheap, so cheap that my friends and I got a private room each. But I feel that the hostel could charge more and then update the decor and facilities and also offer more of a substantial and welcoming breakfast than just a pot of jam and a loaf of bread. However, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The location is also great. In central Sandakan and it felt very secure. The hostel does what it needs to do if you need a cheap place to stay.

I give 5 stars not because of it is 5star hotel but it is worth it with the price that you pay(walk in price is better). It is clean,have water heater,toiletaries(toothbrush is not provided, bring it on your own). The room is not that spacious but it is acceptable. Both of receptionist are good and polite. I want to have activities in the city center, so i tried one day in this hotel then i tried the other hotel in the city center. I found out that this hotel is more worth it. The third day i came back to stay at this hotel. I wonder if Covid19 really took a toll to the hotels in the city center...Many hotels are old and some are already closed. If you are searching for good hotel with good price in city center to me this one is a good bargain and have many parking lots. Im not sure the rooms have how many colours?🙂 My first stay is in orange.(I didnt like orange much and the room looks dim and romantic.i prefer blue colour😅) Some minor defects in this room that i found like the window cannot open and the curtain is stained). My second stay is blue. (I love blue). This room is ok for me. No defect only the water heater i need to let it for a while to become hot water. Overall, im satisfied my stay with the paid price. I stayed here for four nights and I could easily have stayed longer. This place feels like a piece of heaven. I had a beautiful simple cabin with a stunning view. Every night I could hear animals crawling and scrambling on the roof. It was really a unique experience! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Sila. The restaurant had some nice food for a decent price and breakfast was good. Not a lot, but sufficient. There was always coffee and tea for free and they kept my snacks for free in their fridge during my stay so the animals could not smell it in my cabin. Their shuttle service was very good. It was easy to communicate with the driver if I was going to need his service when I was out exploring. And If I wanted to go elsewhere I was always told the price beforehand. I went on almost all of their excursions and can recommend all of them. If you’re looking for a relaxing cabin in the middle of nature this is the perfect place. I cannot recommend it enough.
