We chose the Coast Rider for it location near Hearst Castle. The people were great. The rooms clean, and recently redone. Simple but comfortable. There are plenty of choices for dining close by. You can walk to the beach, visit Elephant Seal breeding grounds as well as tour Hearst Castle and the Lighthouse. IF you enjoy Lego creations the owner creates and displays many impressive pieces including several to scale masterpieces.

I've stayed at many hotels in San Simeon, but this one was hands-down my favorite. Yes, it's not "fancy" but it's spotlessly clean, decorated in a cute way (vintage-themed appliances, fun lobby with Lego theme), and the owners are super warm and friendly. My son and I stayed here for one night on our way down to Los Angeles, and had a delightful time. Will definitely be back!

Excellent quality accommodation in a good seafront location. Rooms were clean and spacious with good facilities. Warm and enthusiastic welcome from the staff who provided friendly and helpful service, as well as complimentary cookies!

From the updated decor to the indoor pool and hot tub, this place is fun and friendly! Automobile and off road vehicles in Lego, and a scale model of the Titanic! Super friendly and helpful, shout out to Joe at the front desk.
