Hôtel très bien avec une vue extraordinaire sur l'océan. le restaurant Akellare est vraiment exceptionnel. Spa correct mais petit pour la taille du batiment. Le deuxième restaurant ( Oteiza) est plutôt décevant et cher.

Deux jours au paradis tout simplement. L'architecture tout à fait original et intéressant où que l'on pose les yeux, sublime les vues sur un paysage totalement hors normes. On a l'impression d'être au bout du monde et seuls sur ce grand bateau qu'est l'Akelarre. L'architecture participe à quelque chose d'onirique dans l'expérience, tout est dans un surdimensionnement qui loin de laisser l'impression d'être tout petits, nous insère tout simplement dans cet environnement exceptionnel. On fond dans le paysage et l'architecture ou l'inverse... on ne sait plus très bien. Non très franchement l'un des endroits les plus magiques que nous ayons eu la chance de fréquenter. Côté service, le personnel est parfait et aux petits soins, mais avec un petit plus que je ne saurai qualifier (c'est peut être le talent ou le petit truc en plus: la conscience de travailler dans un endroit magique ?). Le petit déjeuner est extraordinaire, et nous avons séjourné dans quelques uns des plus grands palaces du monde, donc nous avons des références.

The hotel is located high above San Sebastian, the rooms and the view are very good, but the service offered has no relation to the price! The gym really doesn't deserve the name! 3(!) devices in a 15sqm room is incredible. The pool is also in a dark side room, very small and never used, not worthy of a Relaix & Chardon! Furthermore, there is not a single possibility to sit outside, sunbathe or simply chill out without going to the bar. The reception and the processing of the invoice were not at all satisfactory. The receptionists insist on an incomprehensible process and also become unfriendly. So they didn't want to cancel a credit card reservation as long as the room wasn't checked for damage... At the same time, however, a debit should be made for additional costs.

This place is amazing! Every room is designed so it is completely private, so you can have the curtains open on the entire glass wall in the bedroom and look out over the Bay of Biscay, and soak in the tub while inhaling the ocean air. You are practically outside. They really take care of you, here. They have a spa, and they are attached to the Akelarre Restaurant (3 Michelin stars) that started it all.
