Whilst there is no doubt that this is a lovely property, there needs to be greater focus on service and better staffing. During a recent golfing trip visit the Spa was shut all week, all the pools closed, and several of the restaurants mothballed. We saw a lot of residents walk out of restaurants and the IXO bar due to poor service, and when we tried to bring certain matters to the attention of the hotel reception the staff simply shrugged. Heard a lot of complaints about cold food at breakfast, and the hotel shuttle too, although we had been warned about the latter in advance and hired a car to get us to various golf courses.
