Creo que todo es bueno en este establecimiento, habitaciones, servicio, limpieza. La piscina y el servicio de bar buenísimo. Nos han hecho sentir muy a gusto y como en casa. Quizá los armarios de las habitaciones pequeños. Hemos estado genial.

Beautiful hotel and grounds though a little far from Sotogrande and taxis or own car is needed.
Fire alarm in room had a very bright, flashing green light which made it difficult to get to sleep

Nous avons découvert un concept inédit dans cet hôtel : il dispose d'une grande piscine qui est fermée 17h sur 24. Le matin, elle ouvre à 11h.... et l'après-midi à 18h30. Ce qui signifie que les voyageurs d'affaires et les golfeurs ne peuvent pas l'utiliser. Elle est grillagée quand ils partent le matin et rentrent le soir... Quant au personnel de réception, on peut pas dire qu'il soit abonné au concept de l'amabilité.

Can’t say enough about an excellent 4 nite stay our family just experienced at Hotel Encinar! Location- very convenient just off the 1094 exit on A7, perfect for quick escapes to all the nearby golf courses, the port restaurants and beaches, airports in Gibralter and Malaga, and sightseeing/shopping in Old Town Marbella. Clean and sleek- recent updates and finishes are beautiful. V comfortable beds, showers, and open areas. Nice outside snack/lounge area. Terrific restaurant- Huge breakfast buffet, helpful, attentive staff, food quality high- we especially loved the salmon, roasted nut salad, cinnamon ice cream deserts, hamburgase’s, margueritte pizza and more The setting-sunlight across the glass-enclosed restaurant during dinner added v nice ambiance (bonus!) Strong support from management- Our AC stopped working the first night and after a quick but unsuccessful maintenance response, we were moved to an upgraded room for the remainder of our stay. Thank you very much! Full disclosure- we picked a very quiet time of year to stay and had the hotel nearly to ourselves. Certainly facilitated all the attention we were given and support provided. Having said that, give this Hotel a definite try- it’s excellent.

You may break your neck in one of the many rooms, experience dirty cutlery rotting in the corridors for days, or be amazed when you find two attentive and friendly staff members. You will be over-happy when you are lucky enough when a waiter brings you the wine menu and remains on your side to take the order instead of walking away to never showing up again.

Maybe it was the time of year but the hotel was absolutely soulless. Very cold welcome at reception. I had 2 big suitcases, 2 smaller ones plus a golf bag and the receptionist watched me as I struggled up and down steps and stairs to the rooms section IN TWO TRIPS!!
The room was unbearably hot and was told next morning that the aircon is set to not go below 24 degrees this time of year.
There was no gym or pool in operation and worse there was a lot of loud maintenance work going on every day at these areas.
I asked for a plaster in reception at one point but no surprise to no avail.
The breakfast was seriously limited to the very basic continental if even that. Everything was self service. Very very poor selection of everything…juices…bread (zero pastries)…fruit..just nothing substantial. The reasoning behind this apparently was because there was a football team staying and only “healthy” food was being provided. Literally no regard for the other visitors. Found this extremely disrespectful to the other visitors mind you there weren’t many others other than said football team.
Location not good. You definitely need a car. Difficult to get an Uber in the area and taxi was at least €15 for a 4 mins drive to La Cañada golf course.
