Beautiful Locanda on the grounds of a castle. Setting is magical with attention to details and the staff are incredible. For art lovers there is a great selection of artwork across the grounds and rooms to enjoy. They offer a great contrast to the traditional build. We only stayed one night but we felt very relaxed. Rooms are a good size and very comfy. Breakfast was included which is a bonus. Alexandra and katya are great hosts. I also suggest having a platter with an apertivo their selection of hams was so good! Will definitely return with the kids

It's not a given these days to find the kindness that Alessandra and Katia offered my wife and me. They welcomed us into the beautiful and charming Re Guerriero establishment as if they had known us forever. The building is truly captivating, blending history and contemporary art. The floor is stunning, reminiscent of some Spanish Paradores I visited long ago. The property offers every comfort despite its centuries of history. The room was beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent and plentiful, served attentively and kindly. My husband, sister, and I stayed overnight at the "Locanda del Re Guerriero" on the night of December 25th and 26th. Located within a building in the center of the park, the imposing 17th-century castle stands in excellent condition. The impressive name is striking, and the magical mix of Italian history from the Renaissance to the present day is evident, with designer pieces, interesting works of modern art, and more. They were certainly well-chosen and well-located. Upon arrival, a kind and smiling Katia assigned us to beautiful room number 5. Everything was in order, spotlessly clean, and the well-furnished, warm, and quiet surroundings were much appreciated by those visiting from outside Milan. In the morning, we woke to a delicious breakfast served by Katia and Stefano. Their courtesy and willingness to accommodate guests' wishes are an added bonus, making the experience, albeit brief, unforgettable. We left the property eager to return—we promise! This is the most horrible place where we have ever booked a room! We arrived at 20:05 and we were not allowed into the hotel grounds, although we had booked a suite! The gates were closed, like in a prison, and not a soul... only mosquitoes. A very rude girl answered the phone number at the gate, saying that we had arrived late and that no one would open the door for us. Although we had it written down. I am attaching a photo that check-in is from 20:00, not until 20:00. The place is full of mosquitoes and the rudeness of the staff was simply astounding. This is the first time I can remember this happening in Italy. I highly do not recommend this hotel, it is not a hotel - it is an exclusion zone!!!!
