Hotel Coconuts Caribbean

We loved our stay at Coral Bay Villas. We looked at a lot of places online before deciding on Coral Bay, and after arriving and seeing some of those other places while walking along the beach, we were very happy with our decision. This location is excellent for those who want to be a short golf cart ride from town (2 or 3 minutes) while also enjoying peace and quiet. The condo was exactly as pictured, and although it did get warm in the living room (that’s bound to happen in May), the AC in the bedroom worked like a dream. The best part is hands down the grounds and the pool area—Freddie keeps everything beautiful and meticulous. The beach in front of the villas was also much better than the beaches in front of the surrounding hotels—much less sargassum washing up on shore and just generally more accessible and scenic. There are beach bars/restaurants at the neighboring resorts on both sides, which was perfect, and a great little coffee spot next to a couple other restaurants just across the road that leads to the villas. The staff and property management also made our stay so much easier by booking our flights to San Pedro from the mainland, arranging for our transportation from the airport, having our golf cart delivered to the property as soon as we checked in, and being available throughout our stay to answer questions or to help with anything we needed. I really appreciated not having to worry about those details as a first-timer to San Pedro. Overall, we loved Coral Bay and are already planning a return trip this winter!

I just returned from another fabulous trip to San Pedro, Belize. And what’s become for me my second home Coral Bay Villas. I was fortunate to discover Coral Bay several years ago. In my opinion there is not a better place to enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean and view of the reef than Coral Bay Villas. Freddie keeps Coral Bay’s grounds immaculate. I have no idea where Freddie gets his tireless energy. Freddie’s work ethic is ridiculously strong. I joke with him that watching Freddie work causes me to take a nap. I do not believe there is anything at Coral Bay that Freddie cannot take care of at Coral Bay. Karina replaced Elsa and did a great job. Due to her mother’s health issues Karina is resigning and Miriam is taking her place. I believe Miriam will be a great asset for Coral Bay. In my opinion there just is not a better place to stay in San Pedro. You are far enough away from all the noise of the town, but close enough to access whatever you’d like. I cannot recommend Coral Bay Villas enough! I’m already planning my return in a couple months. Any questions feel free to contact me.

We have been staying at Coral Bay Villas for 19 years and already have 2025 booked. The staff is always pleasant and willing to do anything to make our stay enjoyable and very relaxing. The amazing beach views and easy walking access to both downtown to the north and shopping/eating areas just south make this accommodation a true gem amongst the bigger condo complexes. You will not regret it!

LOCATION: About a 20-minute walk from San Pedro airport. VILLA: We had a one-bedroom on bottom-left side (facing building). So lovely! For maximum light, try to get a corner villa with side windows in living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Loved this place!! The kitchenette is perfect for two and has all you need for cooking, etc... I love that this unit provided a water station with a big water dispenser (thank you!). Ample closet space and looking over the ocean and gorgeous coconut trees swaying in the wind. Very clean! Comfortable king bed with room air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. Located away from restaurants and hustle-bustle. The shower head was a joke, though, with only a stream of water coming out (it NEEDS to be replaced with a shower head giving more coverage and better water pressure). The pool and hot tub are terrific and very clean. Freddy works hard to be helpful - very nice guy!! Our room "safe" had not been bolted down, and he immediately bolted the new safe securly upon our arrival. OUR GRIPE: We are very disappointed in that this was our 30th anniversary to enjoy a quiet, relaxing vacation, and out of 4 nights' stay, 2 days (and nights) were completely ruined by the very loud, annoying sounds of construction of the place next door. We couldn't enjoy morning coffee or even lie outside anywhere as the noise was loud and ecchoing all day and even at night until 7:30 pm. They should tell you that construction is happening all around all day. This really put a damper on things, and the only reason the first 2 days were quiet is because one was a Sunday, and the next day was a holiday. After that it was noise, noise, noise! We feel that we should be compensated for that. OVERALL: we highly recommend this place b/c it's not huge, and it's very private, but be aware that construction next door will continue for some time as it's only in the raw stages right now.

It sure was nice to be back. The "pandemic" shut us down for a couple years, the country actually closed to foreigners. I believe this was our 10th time at Coral Bay, we always stay in #5, the Toucan Suite. The upper balcony is great for the view and the breeze flows easily through the living room. Yes, for you longtime visitors Elsa is gone but Karina fit right in taking care of all our activities. Of course Freddy is a rock, always working hard but always will help if you need anything. Rounding out the staff was Francis, another hard worker and very nice young man. The new security guard Tony is there all night and very friendly (get well soon Oscar!) Simon made our travel plans very easy for us, including our Tropic Air flight to the island and a new phone app with tons of info you'll need. Now that my personals are out the way I'll tell you the villas are far enough from the center of town to be very peaceful, not busy at all. Rent a golf cart to explore the island (Secret Beach!) or just to go to the grocery store. Hey you'll have a fully stocked kitchen! We always enjoy the Catamaran sail to neighboring Caye Caulker, with a wonderful snorkeling stop along the Palancar Reef that is like swimming in an aquarium. The people of Belize are so friendly whether you stay in the mountains or islands, or both! I know, been going since 2001.

Great location and staff. Pool and views of the water were exceptional. Close to some good restaurants, bars, shopping and the city is a short golf cart ride away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coral Bay Villas!
