Absolutely lovely. Beautiful courtyard and pool. Rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Bed was fantastically comfortable. Lovely bathroom, ample linens. Breakfast was fruit and pastry and eggs made to order. Staff are kind, generous and helpful. Highly recommend.

My wife read about Hotel Concepcion in an article in Travel & Leisure. After much research and consideration, we decided to give it a try during our second visit to San Miguel in the past year. The hotel is well located approximately one and a half blocks from the center of town and the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel. The hotel opened about two years ago, offering approximately 15 rooms with exceptional design and traditional architectural design. The hotel has open courtyards with lots of seating areas, beautiful landscape throughout, a great heated pool and spa and rooftop area with great views of the town and nearby cathedrals. Our room was spacious, clean, with comfortable king bed with nice bedding, large flat screen tv, seating area, split a/c unit, dressing area with closet, well stocked refrigerator and safe. The bathroom included a large tile bath with rain style shower and L’Occitane products. Daily breakfast was served next to the pool area offering fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit and eggs prepared any style. The staff was exceptional. Gerardo, assisted us from the moment we made our reservation and throughout our stay. Like many, we have traveled extensively and stayed at many luxury hotels throughout Mexico and the world. Gerardo’s level of service is next to none. He is relentless in his desire to ensure their guests comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Gerardo assisted us in making reservations for dinners, wine tastings and car services and always followed up to ask our opinion and experience of each. Marlo greeted us each morning preparing our breakfast and ensuring each of our needs were met throughout the day. Everyone at the front desk including Daniela and Camila is professional and could not be more accommodating. The rest of the staff seemed to truly enjoy working at Concepcion always smiling, laughing and ensuring guests needs are not only met but exceeded. We highly recommend Concepcion Hotel to anyone seeking a well-located, luxury boutique hotel that delivers exceptional service. We will definitely return.

After a day of travel, we received a warm welcome from Daniella and Samuel at the Hotel Concepcion. Quickly checked in, Sam carried our bags to our Junior Suite and gave us the rundown of the hotel. Gobsmacked by the beauty of the interiors, I walked to the rooftop and saw the church tops illuminated in the night skyline. Gorgeous. The beds are super comfortable, with fine cotton sheets, a Nespresso maker in the room, fluffy towels, a bath mat for the shower, great shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion products. Plenty of closet space, a stocked mini-fridge with beer, water, pop, and snacks, and a room safe which I didn't use. Windows open, no screens, but also never saw a bug! Nothing flying or crawling. Plenty of fresh air. A/C is great and cools down the room fast. The pool is clean and perfectly chlorinated. The pool is comfortable and warm enough to jump in, but not too warm. Very refreshing and sitting in the pool you can see the trumpet vines and ancient walls juxtapositioned next to the color hotel walls. Plenty of sitting areas around the hotel, but mostly you'll want to be out in the city exploring. Took a day to relax and chill at the pool and in the room. The hotel is incredibly situated across from a park and church. So close to all shopping and historic areas. AND it's SO QUIET at night. With only 11 rooms, the hotel gives you that special feeling and personal touch you can't get at larger hotels.
