Hotel Apapacho Boutique

I would strongly advise against booking with Apapacho Hotel in San Miguel de Allende. We reserved a room block for our wedding back in January, and I personally initiated the reservation with my credit card. Within two weeks, all of our guests had booked their rooms and submitted their payment information directly to the hotel. Everything seemed to be in order—until this week. Out of nowhere, my guests received cancellation messages with no explanation. The hotel refused to take any of my phone calls despite multiple attempts and only responded via WhatsApp with a vague excuse about “automatic cancellations” that they claimed they couldn’t reverse. Conveniently, all the rooms were rebooked the very same day—highly suspicious and unprofessional. My wedding planner visited the hotel in person to try to resolve the issue, and her strong impression was that the hotel had simply received a better offer and canceled our entire room block to accommodate higher-paying guests. This is unacceptable behavior and terrible business ethics. Do not trust this hotel with your event or vacation plans—they may cancel your room without notice or accountability. There are plenty of other charming and reliable places to stay in San Miguel de Allende. Shame on you, Apapacho!
