The hotel is in an excellent location two blocks from the center of San Miguel de Allende. All the staff were super friendly, due to itinerary reasons we arrived 2 hours before check-in and they welcomed us without any problem and allowed us to occupy the room beforehand. Another big surprise is that we booked a single room for two people but when we received our room we were surprised that the room included a second double bed and also a private bathtub and terrace (it should be said that we went in low season and maybe That's why they offered us a larger room) it was still a good surprise that was appreciated. The small details that I would add are that: parking is complicated, you have to get to the hotel or mark beforehand and let them know that you are arriving so that the valet can pick up the car and if it takes a while and you have to stop momentarily on the street and it is a very small and busy street and chaos quickly arises on the street; so to take that into account. The second is that I commented: the tub is in a private part of the room but outdoors so it was a little earthy and not very clean, but well it is understood that outdoors because it is complicated. From then on everything was excellent, we will definitely stay there again on future trips. We'll have to see how it goes during the holiday season... but for us it was super quiet, super alone, practically the entire hotel to ourselves.

Casa Quetzal is well situated on a lovely, quiet street only 5 minutes walk to the Jardin. Our room, Kukuruku was quite ample, comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. We appreciated the little touches like the flowers the maid left on our bed with the rolled up towels and the crisp white linens and fluffy pillows on our king size bed, and the extra blankets. We enjoyed the feeling of privacy, that our room was set far back from the street in a lovely patio with potted plants and flowers. We could climb to the roof and look up at the sky, and the wonderful views of the town. Our stay was made especially pleasant by the friendly and helpful staff who assisted us with our needs.

My friend and I stayed here for 1 night as we arrived in SMA. Our Airbnb was not available until the following day. The hotel itself was small and quaint. The vibe was great and the staff was excellent. Adriana was incredibly helpful. She gave us a couple of options with rooms; she called us a taxi; she suggested a great restaurant; and was all around a friendly person. If you see her at the front desk, please tip her well. The hotel itself had some pros & cons. The location was perfect...only a few blocks to the Parroquia and many shops and restaurants within a 4 block radius. The rooms were nice sized and very clean. We loved the rustic decor as well. My bed was very comfortable but my friend's bed was super firm. Additionally, our rooms were joining but we had complete privacy when the door was closed. However, the wall between my room and the one on the other side was as thin as paper. I could hear them clearly. And my exterior door was glass with a curtain to keep the privacy. A bit unconventional and I might not have been comfortable if I were alone. Overall, I think this is a great option for anyone. I would return and refer to friends.

I enjoyed this hotel a lot. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and nice. The property is beautiful and the location was great. The staff was very friendly. I stayed here as a single female and I felt safe. I would stay here again.

Lamentable, cero recomendable! Al llegar al hotel habían perdido nuestra reservación y sin habitaciones disponibles. La reservación que fue hecha directamente en el sitio web del hotel. La señorita Adriana, quien amablemente nos atendió y en el mejor ánimo de resolver buscó habitaciones en otros hoteles del mismo grupo, al no encontrar una solución en su alcance, solicitó apoyo de la aferente del Hotel. La Gerente, una persona de nombre Maricela, con actitud prepotente, grosera y sin actitud de servicio simplemente nos dijo que no había habitaciones pero que no nos preocupáramos por qué no harían ningún cargo ni penalización. Imagínense que además pensaba en penalización cuando ellos causaron el problema! LAMENTABLE que esta señora sea la cara en una actividad económica tan importante para nuestro país como lo es el Turismo! CERO RECOMENDABLE, hay mejores opciones incluso por mejor precio!

This is a very unique and charming hotel. Great personal service with someone at reception 24 hours a day. It is a very old building, and a great part of town, central to everything but quiet once you enter. Really nice courtyard for everyone to use. We were in a room with two bedrooms and one bathroom, almost like a little apartment. Was great for a family. A couple of downsides to be aware of. The Wi-Fi is most definitely not high speed and many times during the day, despite the fact that there are four Wi-Fi channels, none were available. And as you would guess in a Third World country, hot water runs out, so be patient with that. The faucet for our shower broke numerous times and so we ended up just taking baths. Which was a good way to slow down on vacation anyway. 😙 You also need to be able to speak Spanish with the staff, which was great practice for us, but non-Spanish speakers to be aware of. Overall great value, unique, and a local feel.

Perfect elite, safe location, comfortable,clean and affordable! We chose this hotel because our son’s wedding was very close by. It turned out to be perfect for us. Very quiet room (201) 2 bedroom suite, very spacious. No breakfast, but to our great joy, Casa Sierra Nevadas upscale restaurant was just down the street a few steps. It opened at 7:30 AM and served a five star breakfast! And lunch, and dinner. We splurged there with the dinero we saved at Casa Quetzal. Suggestions would be to make coffee with purified-water, to have a little soft classical guitar playing on patio during afternoon or evening, Brighter light in bathroom. And portable fan because there is no AC. Staff was very helpful! Just be patient with translation. Oh, please answer e mails!!!

Nos asignaron un cuarto al fondo del hotel y parecia ser algo genial porque el area se ve muy tranquila, alejada de la calle pero para nuestra mala suerte, arriba de ese cuarto hay una bomba que se activa cada 10 minutos dia y noche, el ruido que hace es fuerte y molesta mucho al dormir. Después por una falla con el agua caliente nos cambiaron a la primera habitacion que se encuentra al frente y el problema ahi es el ruido de la calle, por las noches se escucha fuerte el paso de los autos. El lugar es lindo, bien ubicado y el personal fue muy amable, sobre todo Wendy que nos recibio el primer dia pero no pudimos descansar como queriamos por el ruido.

Pésimo servicio, no nos avisaron del servicio de café. Y además tuvimos que esperar una hora en la recepción por nuestro carro. Nadie en recepción para atender. Pésimo servicio. Veníamos a pasar una agradable momento en San Miguel, y el servicio del hotel lo arruinó todo.
