Cons: inconsistent hot water (but SMA is hot, so this was ok) & a loud A/C unit (but it worked well & didn’t interfere w/our sleep) Despite these minor inconveniences, I would still 100% absolutely recommend staying here!! The location is perfect (easily walkable to sights, cafes, & shops); the staff is warm & helpful; and the rooms & grounds are well-kept & charming. We all (3 couples) loved our stay in SMA & at this hotel in particular.

La ubicación de este hotel es muy conveniente para explorar el centro, especialmente por su cercanía a la catedral. Además, quiero hacer una mención especial al personal, cuyo servicio fue realmente excelente y atento, incluso cuando tuvimos que solicitar dos cambios de habitación debido a las condiciones. Sin embargo, es crucial que los futuros huéspedes no se dejen llevar únicamente por las fotografías del hotel. Las habitaciones muestran signos evidentes de falta de mantenimiento. Pudimos observar cables expuestos, puertas dañadas, tapetes manchados y, lo más preocupante, un problema considerable de humedad en algunas de ellas. La primera habitación que nos asignaron carecía de privacidad al estar frente al restaurante, y la segunda tenía un fuerte olor a humedad. La tercera, aunque mejor, aún tenía detalles como el tapete manchado. A pesar de la buena atención recibida, el estado general de las habitaciones no justifica el precio. Por otro lado, he tenido dificultades para obtener mi factura, ya que el hotel me remite a Booking. Espero que la administración tome cartas en el asunto para mejorar sus instalaciones, ya que su personal merece un entorno de trabajo a la altura de su profesionalismo.

The hotel, with its beautiful gardens and artwork, is in a great central location in San Miguel de Allende. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent.

This is an old building with interesting rooms, ours with a balcony. Beds are comfortable and the towels and linens are fresh every day. Convenient walking to the town plaza and in the other direction to interesting city sights. This is definitely not a touristy hotel for English speakers...bring your Spanish with you!

I booked a master room and was given a double bed jr suite. Front desk girl didn’t want to help me. Told me to wait until the next day. I reached ******* and they did talk to the hotel and change me to the mater room.
The hotel has a lot of stirs, just be prepared.
The bed and pillows were very hard, not really comfortable.
The room was clean md close to the centro area. They have a buffet Sunday’s $35 dollars per person.
