Hotel Del Portal San Miguel de Allende

Great location, very clean, nice staff.

The staff at the hotel was great! The hotel itself is not so great. The hotel was under construction so there’s materials laying around the lobby. The room we were first given had a gap between the door frame and the wall so you can see into the restroom. The outlets were not attached to the wall and there was some exposed wiring. It also had a window that opens into the lobby so very little privacy. The second room we were offered was not in the best condition either. The shower runs out of hot water quickly, and would also completely run out of water minutes into the shower. The water takes a bit to come back. The towels were old and torn. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. Also if you book, pay on the ******* app. When I reserved it it gave me the option to pay at the property. Online it said about 300-400 USD but once I arrived it came out to a little over $500 USD. The location is nice but definitely not worth the price.
