Alua Atlantico Golf - All Inclusive

Booked and travelled with Jet 2, everything was very smooth and lots of staff at the airport. Transfer took around 25 minutes to get to the hotel and checking we were lucky it was only our family being dropped here, might be more of a problem if there are many arrivals as the check In typically takes 15 plus minutes. You will need cash for towels and drink tokens, all refunded after your stay. Me and my wife travelled here 15 years ago and wanted a last minute trip with our three boys, with reading reviews we went with the mentality that it won't be the best. I would say if you are a family the place is great, yes it won't have water parks etc here and an amazing night entertainment but the facilities that are on offer are great. It's a big place so on arrival download the app and review the map they give you. You can book the special restaurants but you need to book your food before you arrive, doing this with three kids would cause an issue so we avoided these. The main restaurants are fine, the waiters and waitresses work hard, and it's nice if you treat them with some respect and thank them, it goes a long way. Yes the food is a little repetitive each day, so don't ram everything on your plate, then each day can be different The snack bars by the pools are great, plenty of drinks, San Miguel on tap and snacks for the kids. The hotel is big, the main pools area is great for kids, more happening here with ping pong, water polo, volleyball etc, but for me I preferred the family pools within block 4, great views of the ocean and underneath the hotel 4-6pm volcanic bar have a live singer, this pool is alot more peaceful. In block 4 they also have the ocean view restaurant, serving breakfast 9 till 12 where as the main restaurant closes at 10am. Some things to do, near the hotel by the sea there is a selection of bars and restaurants, we drank at a few and went the pancake restaurant, some great pancakes for the kids and wonderful salads. For the footie and decent guiness there is the wild geese pub, nice atmosphere. If you have a car or willing to jump buses worth going to San blas lots of nice restaurants here, and then head to Siam water park, real fun day out, if you have younger kids head to the wave pool and beach section and allow the older kids to explore the park. As a family we really enjoyed the break, the weather does help we were lucky with 7 days of glorious sun. Go there with an open mind, it won't be the best 4 star hotel but has everything you need and they do this well and you will enjoy lots of great sunrises and sunsets Areas for improvement, gym a little small and needs a water dispenser, I feel minimum is one bottle of water each in your room, more emphasis on the slippery floor by the pool, seen to many fall over. Will be looking to return next year

Words can not display our dissapointment. We paid extra for My Favorite Club to feel special for a week. 1. Check in took forever. The lines were extremely long and staff working so slow. 2. At check in we were told we had booked a 'family room' even though we booked a 'suite'. 3. Our room was located in building 4. A 5 minute walk through the hotel labyrinth to the reception and to the My Favorite Club areas. 4. When we got to our room the keycards did not work. So I had to walk the 5 minutes back with the card and then again 5 minutes to go back to the room. 5. The My Favorite Club lounge was boring, cold, tasteless and the ONLY two things different from the other bars was the real glasses (instead of plastic) and that we did not have to use tokens. Other than that the other bars were more fun and was in areas were we could actually do things like use the pool fx. In the Club lounge we felt trapped - not even a terrasse or open window! Just chairs and a TV. And it was in the other end of the hotel - 5 minutes walk. 6. The Favorite Club outside areas was even worse! Not close to any pools, worse parasols than at the actual normal pools. No drinks. No food. No nothing. Just a weird looking terrasse, that really needed cleaning. Also a long walk from our building. 7. The room was not clean. For the whole week the staff did not vacuum or mop the floors (our feet was black from dirt underneath the last two days!). 8. The whole week the bed linnen was NOT changed - they just made the bed with the dirty sheets. Disgusting. 9. The VIP feeling from extra sercive from the staff did not apply to us. Not once did we feel like we paid more to get more. 10. The food in the buffet was disgusting. Tasteless, bland and fatty. Nothing extra here either. The worst we have ever had at an all inclusive hotel! 11. The staff in the "information" at the top floor was not helpfull and just looked like they sat there falling asleep. 12. The hotel is a labyrinth and it took forever to just get out of there. No shortcuts from our room! The only door in our end of the hotel was locked on the first day of our stay! And it stayed that way. 13. Fridge in the room was to small for a suite/my favorite club room. 14. 90% of all exits/entrances were sealed of with giant locks and steel doors. It looked horrible and abandond both inside and outside. 15. Building 4 seemed left out. It needs a lot of cleaning!, it needs to be painted, the ceilings are falling down, the walls have holes in them, the staircase looks like a forgotten and abandond old school or hospital, the railings are damaged and broke and old. And so we could go on. 16. Outside of our room was no lights. 17. The pool sunbeds were reserved with towels even though this is not allowed according to the signs. The lifeguard did not care at all. 18. The pool snack bare was dry pizza, undercooked fries, burned nuggets and tasteless hotdogs. Where did the food for the adults go?... did Alua just ban/prohibit any good or

been here for two weeks and it was such a great holiday. the whole hotel is very clean and the staff is very helpful and professional. food could improve, but overall it was alright, our room was lovely and spotless. obviously the best part of the holidays was the entertainment team lead by Manuel who was absolutely the highlight of my holiday. he made my holidays very funny, enjoyable and he is the reason i will come back as soon as possible.

Overall great holiday family rooms are a good size for a family of 5, staff mainly friendly and helpful, food was good but tex mex restaurant was very cold couldn't wait to leave, did a great party and fireworks for new year and location and weather brilliant. Would go back.

Very nice place for families with kids. We enjoyed our stay late on December 2024. Hotel located near to the ocean and 15 minutes away from airport. We were quite happy with Restaurants, entertainment, environment and cleanness. Staffs were friendly and helpful.
