We really enjoyed our stay at La Fontaine. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. There were little touches like coffee, tea, hot water available all day which was good. The hotel is about half a mile from the centre of San Martin which is quite convenient. Our only disappointment was breakfast which was good but needs a little attention to detail (orange juice, butter and fresh coffee).

Not so good here!…we stayed 4 nights and for the first 2 days we couldn’t unpack as we were waiting to resolve our room allocation; the place is tired and badly needs updating, for example, our first shower couldn’t be turned off, the crockery at breakfast looked like it had been scraped off the floor from a greek wedding and there were sharp nails protruding under our bathroom sink…On the plus side…the swimming pool and garden was charming and we cooked ourselves asado on our last night in a really super outdoor kitchen. A long walk to the centre.

Esta vez nuestra estadía no fue satisfecha, los productos para el desayuno no es de calidad, falta de mantenimiento, la ropa de cama y toallones percudidas/os, se nota bastante, tachito papeles del baño roto (no se les cae una moneda para reponer uno nuevo, servicio de TV sin conexión, realicè el reclamo y al siguiente día me dicen por WhatsApp que esta solucionado y no fue así. Esta nueva administración no invierte en lo esencial, mantenimiento y limpieza de ropa blanca.

La Fontaine es un hermoso lugar para alojarse. Eso sí, está ubicado en el ingreso a la ciudad, por lo que hay que caminar hasta llegar al centro. Pero lo vale, el jardín y el arroyo que pasa por atrás es espectacular. La zona del quincho está buenísima para hacer asados y la pileta - climatizada - tiene mucha pinta, aunque cuando hace mucho mucho frío no hay agua cálida que el cuerpo aguante. El desayuno está muy bueno, completo, con huevo, jamón, queso, medialunas, queso crema, mermeladas caseras, cereales, jugo y yogur. Las habitaciones son bonitas, chicas y por momentos un poco ruidosas (si te tocan vecinos charlatanes) pero nada grave. Párrafo aparte para Maqui y Lisandro que con paciencia y certeza respondieron cientos de preguntas, dudas y sugerencias. Son unos genios. Volveremos!
