This review is ridiculously late but we had a wonderful stay here. The room is beautiful, the view is lovely, the bed was comfortable, and Fabrizio, Rocco and Viola were charming hosts. Fabrizio was fun and interesting to talk to and served an excellent breakfast. His directions for finding parking and the house were spot on. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The cutest little house, in the upper historic centre of San Marino. We had stunning far-reaching views from our terrace. Sunset was glorious. The terrace has comfy seating and a dining table. The charming host, Fabrizio, is so helpful. Originally belonging to his grandfather, the traditional stone house has been lovingly restored. There are two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Everything is spotlessly clean. We had the house to ourselves as Fabrizio was staying elsewhere. It’s utterly charming. You are given a voucher for breakfast at a cafe literally next door but we didn’t use it as we left early, however you can help yourself to tea/coffee and a little snack in the kitchen. The house is right in the very heart of San Marino’s upper city walls, which is only small and everything is on your doorstep. Be prepared for some steep streets and there are steps to take you to different levels. The house is a short walk of under 5 minutes to Car Park 6 - €8 for 24 hours. This is the upper-most car park. If it’s full - it’s only small - wait a while and you may get a space like we did. Car park 7 is a little lower down. I highly recommend B&B Balsimelli12 and would stay again just for those amazing views from the terrace!
