The pool and hot tub here are amazing says it closes at 9 but they let you stay out there as long as you want as long as you are not being obscenely loud. The rooms have been updated recently and our very nice

The best established without the inflated rates! Clean?!!!

Our family made a reservation online to stay at the hotel for one night. We checked in on 10/18/2024 and checked out on 10/19/2024 we were out of the hotel by 1030am. We attended a brunch and then drove up to Sacramento to catch our flight. Upon getting to the airport we realized we had left something in the hotel room. I called at 615pm to ask the hotel to check the room. I had to call 10 Times before I got a person. The manager Alex told me there was nothing he could do and to call back on 10/20/2019 at 9am. We still had friends in SLO so I called them to go by the hotel. One person went on 10/19 and was told they didn’t have the item another friend went by on 10/20 before the left town and was told the same thing. I called at 9am on 10/20 and was told my item was thrown in the trash the previous day and they didn’t have it. I questioned him on why they would throw it away (it was a personalized stuffed animal that was well loved). I was told they throw everything away And that I should have called earlier. That I called too late and should have called when house keeping was at the hotel the day prior. I asked Alex if I could speak with his boss and he said yes and put me on hold. When the next person answer they sounded exactly the same, I asked for his name and he told me he wasn’t allowed to tell me, I questioned him and asked if he was the same person i just spoke with and he said yes, our conversation ended there. I posted on a local facebook group and five people went and on the hotel and asked about my item. He questioned a woman on how she knew about the item and she made him aware it was on social media, after he dismissed her and told her they didn’t have it she went outside to check their dumpster area. it was only after five attempts and letting him know that it was on social media did they come out to her with my item. The hotel never offered an apology or to even make arrangements to get my item Back to me. They never called to tell me they had it. The way the hotel handled it was disrespectful. I called the hotel after some random woman for my item back for me and asked to speak with Alex’s boss which would be the owner. I left my name and number and have not heard back. I would not recommend staying here. I can only assume that the staff at the hotel didn’t clean the room, or Alex didn’t even ask the staff Or that the staff thought they could keep the item themself or they really did throw it away and only retrieved my item after making a fuss about it. Either way it shouldn’t have taken such a fight to get my things back.

Pros: Easy to find. Pretty roses on the property Cons: The room was so dirty. There was body hair in all the corners of the room and smelled old. I wouldn’t sleep under the covers or put my head on the pillows without my hoodie being on. The hallways leading to the room gave horror movie vibes. None of the vending machines worked.

We stayed here a few months when Covid hit and when we lost our home we returned here to stay as our last visit was okay and when I say okay i mean we should have known better seeing that this was the only place left with almost every room available during a world wide pandemic. We probably would have had a nicer more comfortable stay down in on the bobs Jones trail….. Our second return if I could give this place a negative infinite number I’da be being polite…. Nothing but homeless people sleeping in the laundry room or wandering the halls all night …. Pretty sure the manager is a ghost 👻 or maybe a myth or maybe there really is a manager burn ghosted the place entirely because we’ve yet to see one. The lady at the front desk and hee husband who does the maintaince are the only good thing about that place and deserve a pay raise. They were so polite and helpful. Excellent infinite stars to those 2 !!! that being said don’t even get me started on the house keepers there…. I think they are all related and have terrible bedside manners and are down right thieves. When we had a problem paying after never being late with rent they locked us out of our rooms with all our belongings and when we returned and even paid extra for the holdup with rent, we returned to our room totally ran sacked and my wife caught the head of the lot with her sunglasses on top of her head and another one with her brand new sweat shirt on!!! When we complained and threatened to call authority’s they again locked us out of our room and bagged up all of our stuff and put it by the dumpster!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. There’s also a warning sign right by the first entrance that says from the health department that staying here could cause health problems like cancer or reproductive problems because of the building having mold and possibly asbestos from my guess. Also stating because of activities from other guests staying there could also contribute to health concerns. *** IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN ! Safe travels yall!!!!!

My stay at the Rose Garden was pleasant. The reviews seem to scare you off a little but decided the give them the benefit of the doubt. I was greeted by Kenn and he was very friendly! Upon entering our room, it was spacious and very comfortable and clean! Would definitely come back and stay again! For reference most of the pictures are outdated and the rooms have been updated.
