The motel is run by an Indian. However, due to its good location in the city, I didn't want to drive out of the city to find a chain hotel. It was my first time staying in a motel. The pillows were all lumpy. I couldn't tell if the pillowcases were clean, the quilts and sheets were clean. The bathroom was so small that I would hit my head when I opened the door. I used my own towel to pad the pillows, and I wore long sleeves and long pants to sleep. I won't try motels again.

This was my fourth time staying here, and most assuredly my last. The experience was never stellar, but the nightly room rates are low, so it was fine, This last time, however, was the last straw. Room key didn’t work. Front desk clerk was extremely rude and treated me like I didn’t know how to work a hotel room key … turned out the batteries in the door lock were dead. I entered the room to find the shower had used dental floss stuck to the walls, and THE SHOWER HEAD WAS MISSING. The shower head was replaced 24 hours later (I had to take my first “shower” without it), but the dental floss was never removed — mind you, I stayed here for two nights. Lastly, I was lulled to sleep both nights by the warm, dulcet sounds of rats skittering back and forth above my ceiling … All. Night. Long. But ya know, I admit that I prolly wouldn’t have left a review for this place at all, but for the rudeness factor … if your business treats your customers poorly, especially repeat customers, then don’t be surprised when the word gets out about you. The thought of ever staying another night here makes my skin crawl.

See photos for ill repair - slumlord vibes. Couldn’t get the door open to my room and had to get the desk guy to walk up and open it. He had to try multiple times too and lectured me that I didn’t jiggle the handle in just the right way to get it to open. I never was able to open it.

If I could give NEGATIVE I would! Sleep in your car, you'll have a better experience! Seriously...the check in person was either homeless or on drugs...totally disheveled and aloof. So many problems I won't bother relating them here...just don't stay here. You'll regret it.

Didn't know that the beach was inside the room! Floor was very sandy. Bathroom has a weird odor. The bathtub's drain is rusty and disgusting. There were two smoke alarms which one was wrap in plastic baggie. Next door room's entrance weee full of garbage.

The room has a funky smell which hits you as soon as you walk in. The bed covers are stained and have a cigarette burn. The heating doesn't work. The check in staff is rude and unhelpful. Horrible place.

Every hotel in the area is taking advantage of the Cal Poly Graduation weekend. This hotel charged just over $300 for one night. I would be ok with that if it were decent. This room was unacceptable. The air conditioning is a loud noisy unit under the window with warn out buttons and a digital display that was half broken. The paint is chipped, patched, and stained. There are two coffee cup smears on the night stand. The lamp blinks on and off. There are cords cross crossing the corner of the room. The towels are tiny and thread bare. I would have demanded my money back and left but I had pre paid with a no refund status. It was late and I needed to get to sleep for my son’s graduation in the morning. If you are ever coming to San Luis Obispo for the same weekend, do not stay here. It would be worth paying the extra money to stay somewhere else or in a nearby town where the rates might be better.

I am laying on a rock hard bed. The room is freezing and there is no way to change the temperature. It seems to be controlled internally by the hotel. When we checked in online it said free breakfast. We were told at the front desk that was not true. A blatant lie promoted online says a lot about the business. Need I say more?

Checked in, front desk clerk was either drunk, deaf, homeless or, quite possibly, all three. Seriously...dirt caked fingernails, slurred speech, ineffective communication. Bed hard as a rock...room only "kind of" clean. Morning, hair dryer quits after a few seconds, call front desk, LITERALLY "tough luck, we don't have any spares!". REALLY. Maybe THEY were laughing about it...not us. DO NOT STAY HERE ! ! ! !
