Hotel Victoriano

It’s a beautiful Victorian hotel with a swimming pool that overlooks the beach. The beds were really comfortable cute rooms Tree morning, breakfast comfortable temperature in the swimming pool. What’s not to like? I would highly recommend staying here.

Great location at the beach near many bars and restaurants. Staff top notch. Super attentive friendly service from everyone. Rooms are clean with excellent a/c. Fantastic breakfast included with great coffee. Pool small but fine for this smaller hotel. Large sitting area to visit or play cards. However, no hot water and no room safes. There is a tap marked hot, but never any hot water. Every room has a safe that does not open. A little common maintenance would get 5 stars for this place

There aren’t a lot of nice hotels to choose from in San Juan Del Sur. This one looked nicer than most. The building is from the early 1900’s and I could swear it hasn’t been remodeled since it was built It could definitely do with a refurbish. Made of wood, there is a damp wood smell throughout and the floors creak when walked on. It’s located directly across the Main Street from the beach, but only one room has this view. The rest of the rooms are off the main courtyard. There is air conditioning in the room only (thankfully), but once you leave your room you’re exposed to the awful heat and humidity. Our room came with breakfast, and there were several choices. The food was good, but they only had coffee, no black tea so be sure to bring your own if you are a tea drinker. They will give you a cup of hot water. The staff was nice and friendly. The breakfast area has a nice view if you ignore the multitude of electrical wires blocking the sight line to the beach. But because it’s outside it’s dreadfully hot. They don’t even have ceiling fans. This minor addition would help a bit to cool it off. Also, unfortunately the bed was not comfortable and they never once came to clean our room. We had to ask for clean towels daily. I’m giving the hotel a 3 because of the easy walk to surrounding businesses and the beach nearby. However, if I were to return I would probably look for an Airbnb or try another hotel.

This hotel is beautiful. The view is the best part about staying at this hotel. We booked a room with a king size bed. The room was small. They did have hot water! If you left the shower water run too heavy then the water would start to leak into the bedroom. Not realizing this would happen, I had to put towels down on the floor to keep the water from flooding the bedroom. Reception/front desk leaves early. I tried calling, but no answer. The AC worked well. Overall, I would stay there again.

Beautiful hotel. Absolutely the best staff at the front desk… Heidi, you are awesome!! Breakfast and bar staff, very attentive, such a pleasure. Had a full breakfast included in the price..spa treatments also available
