I really enjoyed my stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott San Jose Aurola. The hotel has a classic feel but is well maintained and comfortable. My room was spacious, clean, and offered a nice city view. The location is central, making it easy to reach downtown areas and main attractions. Staff were polite and professional throughout my stay. Breakfast was good and well organized. Overall, it’s a reliable and comfortable choice, especially for business travelers or those who prefer a central location.

I stayed at Delta Hotel by Marriott during my trip to Costa Rica, and it was such a great experience! The hotel is beautiful, modern, and super comfortable. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. My room was cozy, and had a really comfortable bed — I slept well. The amenities were excellent too — loved the pool area, gym, and especially the breakfast buffet with plenty of delicious local and international options. The location was also very convenient, close to shops, restaurants, and just a short drive from the airport. It made exploring the area really easy.

Recommended for the pick of convenient location

Dirty windows, stained bed sheets. Great location. Didn’t have the correct information about my reservation. I had to argue with staff so I could have the breakfast I paid for… AND there were men in black suits and the staff wasn’t able to explain who they were or why they were there, even though it was quite unnerving In general, I’ve had better rooms in this hotel that were cheaper.

Very reasonable price, good location. Rooms area bit dated and the AC is a bit loud, and the carpets & curtains could benefit from some cleaning. But overall very good value

The location and the amenities are amazing. Everything is on walkable distance, I haven’t had to take any transportation at all during my stay. The quality of the rooms and amenities is quite high, there is nothing to complain about. The staff is extremely nice: this includes the securities, the restaurant staff, the housekeeping staff, the barmen and most of the reception staff, except a lady called Alison, with a little attitude and some disrespectful manners, definitely not at all aligned with Marriott standards. However, hopefully some training may bring improvements.

King room with city view, 14 floor: 2 nights. July * You will hear the music from the bar across the park until 3am. Not much noises from the regular city streets. * No fresh air available in this hotel. All the windows are sealed. * No fridge, no Netflix. But plenty of english channels on tv. * good internet. * excellent hot water, and water pressure. * small gym ok, but no windows, and tv was not working. * nice indoor pool, but water too cold for me. No windows but a clear dome. * breakfast have ok choices, not much for a vegetarian. * restaurant expensive like any other hotel, but the staff is sympathic. * free parking. * very nice staff. * reservation with Trip.com was a complication, they didn't have my reservation. Took 1h to check-in. At the check-out they charged me the room that was already paid on Trip.com, had to ask for a refund, which they did, no arguying but a lot of explanations and proof of payment... but the staff was really polite and helpful. * only 1 person working at the counter for check-in and check-out.. * easy to walk everywhere. * easy to navigate with google map or waze.

The hotel is in need of renovation, and it seems to have already begun. The location is convenient, but there are homeless people across from the park. The pool isn't heated. The reception is helpful and quick to help with any issues. A kettle and refrigerator were missing in the room. However, we got hot water in the restaurant and had no problems. The breakfast buffet was good.

The location is decent, in the city center, so dining options are convenient, and the room view is nice. Breakfast is a fairly traditional Costa Rican style. The front desk staff needs improvement; they initially gave me the wrong room and got my check-out date wrong. Also, the room safe was a bit old and I couldn't open it; I had to get a staff member to saw it open.

The facilities are outdated, the rooms need renovation, and it's impossible to completely close the blackout curtains, so you have to wake up early in the morning. The restaurant is very average and very expensive. The reception service is very good.
