People go to Flores for many reasons. the mayan ruins - Tikal. The gorgeous lake - Peten. We did both. For one night we stayed in the jungle near Tikal and then moved to this magnificent property, Bolontiki, to relax on the lake. The service from this Mr & Mrs Smith property was unimaginable. To make a long story short, we screwed up a transfer to the hotel. (It had nothing to do with this hotel. The prior hotel gave us bad information). So we were literally just standing around a busy area with our luggage, having been dropped off in the wrong area by our prior hotel not knowing what to do next. So we sent a message to Bolontiki and they sent a private boat to pick us up to transport to the hotel. Because it was the beginning of slow season we were the only guests there for one night! Talk about personalized service!!! Everything was catered and run around our very whim. The people were so nice. The food was GREAT. The accommodations nice. I got a great massage. Just a primo experience. It's in the forest so lovely vegetation, birds and howler monkeys. IT's right on the lake so beautiful small resort. Excellent service.

Ambiente aburrido y lúgubre! Escaso entretenimiento
Un único restaurante con pocas opciones: no hay snacks (solo nachos y papas fritas); no hay hamburguesas, no hay pizzas. El bar carece de algún atractivo! No hay gym, para ingresar a las facilidades del jacuzzi y sauna hay que pagar $45.00 cuando deberían ser facilidades disponibles y Free para todos los huéspedes.
La piscina luce algo abandonada, se mantiene llena de hojas y tallos que se desprenden de los árboles, no hay mantenimiento de limpieza constante.
No hay música ambiental en las áreas
La habitación bastante amplia y cómoda y el baño amplio y cómodo y con buenos amenities.
Altas espectativas tenía sobre la propiedad, pero la realidad es otra muy diferente.
El capital humano (sus colaboradores) son lo mejor del hotel, eficientes, colaboradores, gentiles y con vocación de servicio!

Las instalaciones muy bonitas pero el servicio deja mucho que desear. No nos recogieron a la hora estipulada en el embarcadero, teníamos cita en el spa a una hora determinada y estaba cerrado, en ambas ocasiones tuve que llamar a recepción para solicitar los servicios previamente solicitados. No habían productos de higiene femenina disponible. Jacuzzi sucio.

The place is amazing, from the start in the boat, the rooms with its own Nahuatl, the food, the views of the lake, and loved the location, very close to the Flores. They told us that you can also arrive by car, but you will missed the full experience of arriving by boat, is such a great experience. We took the Tikal tour from there and also we did a Flores town tour, both amazing, Flores is a very cute town, and Tikal is something else.

This boutique property is a hidden gem tucked into a tropical forest by the lake. We loved the resort ambiance and enjoyed the restaurant where we dined both nights.
