Il soggiorno è stato complessivamente piacevole, ma le camere non sono propriamente accoglienti. Il casale è davvero suggestivo ed immerso nella natura, con i daini di notte che brucano nel prato antistante..... se fosse possibile anche avere un agevole ricircolo di aria nelle camere sarebbe senz'altro più vivibile e godibile.

Truly awful! If you want to stay the night in a sweltering, fly infested , delapitated building, then come here. It’s such a terrible shame as there is so much potential, beautiful location which is ruined. I feel sorry for the horses Stains, cobwebs, flies, awful , awful, awful

Posto incantevole, nel pieno del parco di San Rossore, immersi nella natura. La struttura è mal gestita e in preda all'incuria. Bagno vecchio, piccolo e con un odore nauseabondo di fogna. Stanza con parquet sollevato e rumoroso. La pulizia viene fatta solo all'arrivo, poi ti rifanno solo i letti e, se si ricordano, ti rimpiazzano l'asciugamano. È classificato come 3 stelle, ma di fatto è una struttura ad 1 stella.

Sono stato al Casale La Sterpaia con tutta la mia famiglia per due notti. Devo dire, un posto incantevole, l'Hotel è in mezzo ad una enorme tenuta ottocentesca che visitabile in bici, in cavallo, a piedi e in carrozza. C'è possibilità di visitare i cavalli, farsi un barbecue e c'è un grande parco per bambini. Colazione adeguata, personale squisito e sempre disponibile. Uniche due pecche: (1) la reception chiude alle 19, ma la chiusura è comunque ben gestita perchè ti danno la possibilità di fare il check in da remoto e lasciano le chiavi a disposizione nella toppa della camera oppure al ristorante; (2) le camere, un tantino vetuste, così come i bagni ma tale vetustà è sicuramente superata dal fatto che la mattina ci si sveglia col canto degli uccellini. Purtroppo le pareti non hanno una grande insonorizzazione e, devo dire, il prezzo, per via della risalenza dei locali, forse è un po' eccessivo. Ma, ripeto, il bilanciamento finale è a favore della struttura, ci tornerò senz'altro.
