The room is clean. There is no complimentary bottled of water from the hotel. Instead, they ask you to go to the water fountain to get the water supply. There is a usd 15 credit per room if you want to have meal at the restaurant.

The hotel is located in North Beach, close to Pier 45. The public security is OK. There may be motorcyclists in the street during the day, but it is quite quiet at night.
Pier 39, Lombard Street and Ghirardelli Square are all within walking distance. Behind the hotel is the only in-n-out in SF, and the popular online store boudin is also nearby.
There are Walgreens, Uncle ** and Starbucks, but they all need to walk two or three blocks away. Generally speaking, it is within a reasonable range.
It is far from the subway station and needs to transfer. There are several buses. The cable car terminal is next to the hotel, and the parking fee nearby is relatively expensive.
The room is large and the facilities are not new. American hotels usually require you to bring your own daily necessities such as slippers and toothbrushes, and the elevator is slow.
The front desk is very enthusiastic. When checking in, Q fat from several nearby restaurants is given as a gift, which can be discounted by 10%, which can be regarded as offsetting the consumption tax.
In general, the price-performance ratio is quite high, suitable for people with good leg strength.

The hotel is in a great location, just minutes away by foot to Fisherman's Wharf. Lombard Street and Chinatown are both accessible by foot, as well as the trendy Russian Hill/Polk St area with many bars and restaurants. There are multiple rental car locations a few minutes walk away as well so that you can drive across the Golden Gate Bridge and go to the Battery Spencer Lookout or continue onwards to Sausalito and Muir Woods. Note that there are two wings of the building and we were placed in the wing separate from the main lobby and dining room, and the steps were not wheelchair accessible. The service and amenities are good, but we had a first floor room facing the street and it was quite noisy at times due to the poor noise isolation where you could hear people talking outside on the street quite clearly. Overall, the location was good and the value was quite high with breakfast being included (it was fine, nothing special).

Amazing location - Walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf and Lombard Street. Bus stops just steps away, can navigate the city easily.
Hotel - lovely decorated, with free coffee, tea and water offered to guests during designated hours. Lobby is full of amenities designed for kids and families, a lot of guests tend to hang around the communal areas during our stay.
Staff - very helpful. And they send SMS to guests to check in with them and share information about hotel events.

All of the staff seemed really nice. From the moment we arrived and had a friendly greeting from the valet parking worker, to the ladies that we interacted with in reception.
The room was nothing special, but by that I mean it had no outstanding features, or any distinguishable traits that would separate it from other hotels
The concierge was friendly and helpful, and was very useful in helping us to plan our activities.
And the hotel is in a good location to get to the pier or do the 'big bus' tour.
But here's the downside. The gym is small, had no steriliser, or wipes, even though one of the rules stated in the gym is to wipe down the equipment after use.
And the overall impression of the gym is that it could do with a really good clean from top to bottom.
Added to that there's the washing machine and tumble dryer located in the gym.
Yes that's right, in the actual gym.
Now we were very happy when we read about the hotel having washing machine facilities, but we were slightly surprised at it's location.
Another thing was the air con. We stayed in September and although the weather for the season was just starting to cool down after the summer, it was still fairly warm.
The air con looked as if it had been fitted in the seventies and made a sound as if it had been running non stop ever since then.
It was so noisy that we had to turn it off completely at night time and at different times during the day.
On a final point we received news regarding the death of my partner's daughter, which meant that we had to cut our whole vacation short including this leg of the trip.
We informed the front desk that we would be checking out one day early.
We were not expecting a refund, for that day, but after being told by the member of staff that the 30 dollar a night 'destination fee' would be waived for the night that we were not going to be there, we later found out that this fee had still been added to the final bill.
We still have no idea what a 'destination fee' is, but to be charged it when we weren't even at the hotel was extra galling.
And what was also strange was the fact they didn't even ask why it was that we had decided to cut our stay short?
Would you not be interested to know whether something was wrong with your customers stay, and to know why they had cut their visit short??
A bit of a poor end to a otherwise 'ok' stay at the hotel.

This hotel is a gem! From the friendly staff, the room amenities and comfortable rooms and beds to the excellent program of events and activities that the hotel has on offer, we had a wonderful stay and just wish we had more time to take advantage of the extras this hotel gives you.
Freshly brewed local coffee in the morning with pastries/biscuits and fresh fruit-infused water always available in reception, these little extras made us feel extra welcome and we’d definitely return and recommend to others.
The location in Fisherman’s Wharf area is perfect as well!

Great location if Fisherman’s Wharf area is where you want to be based. Good breakfast (limited table space but we never had to wait too long) and friendly staff. Clean. No complaints.

I had some initial problem with my booking but there were very good to solve them . Be aware there are renovation works happening at the time of this review and it can get noisy . The hotel and trip.com helped me with my feedback.

Bbdawwg 017Was an excellent location to Fisherman's Wharf. Hotel was very secure and comfortable. Showing it's age and there's a few things that are overlooked in terms of cleanliness but I'm in the business and have an eye for these things. Didn't bother us though. Room seemed updated and the fans were appreciated as there's no A/C. Great proximity to all the things. Walked to Golden Gate bridge and the Alcatraz Pier. There was construction the day we arrived in a room close to us, but workers were very polite and apologetic and finished the noise around 5pm. Didn't continue the next day so that was nice and we slept in. Over-all was a good stay.

JJINThere is a parking lot but you need to pay. It feels quite expensive even if the tax is more than $25. The room is not big but enough for 2 people, free coffee for 24 hours is not bad, breakfast is short of bread and some snacks
