This hotel is located in a strategic location in the downtown SF area. Just walk to Union Square or the center of the crowd. I stayed 3 nights with a booking from a different online travel agent so the staff didn't recognize my name and assumed I was staying 1 night. But finally they found my other booking on the 2nd day. There is a small elevator that can help us go up to the top floor. The room is not too spacious, but enough for me as a solo traveler, complete with bathroom in the room. There is a desk for writing, TV, medium sized refrigerator, water heater and microwave. So we can save on food expenses by buying food that is ready to be heated. During my 3 day stay, the room was not automatically cleaned, the towels were never replaced, because I didn't ask. Bath soap and small shampoo, instant coffee, tea and sugar are available. The space heater would turn on by itself (I didn't understand and I didn't turn it on). And on the last night the sound was very annoying. I woke up at 5 am. Really disturbed sleep, but the room did get warm after the heating machine was on. The staff was friendly and lent me a spoon to eat. The important point during my stay at Mithila was the 4 mattresses and pillows which were very soft and comfortable. If there were no disturbing sounds from the heating machine, I would definitely sleep as soundly as on the first day. Because the base is made of boards, the sound and vibration of footsteps will be felt, especially when people are walking or running. Maybe suggestions for improving the heating machine so that guests are comfortable staying at Mithila.
