Wow! Staying at this hotel made our time in the city this weekend extra magical. Yash and Komal took amazing care of us. They provided ABOVE AND BEYOND service. A huge thank you to them! We appreciated all of the extra special touches. We loved our room, very good size with a patio to enjoy looking out over the city. As you step through the original doors that date back to the late 1800s, you are thrown back in time. There is so much to take in throughout the elegant mansion with its unique art and artifacts. You can just feel the history as you think about all of the people that have stayed at the hotel over the years. If only the walls could tell the stories! The complimentary breakfast was good, complete with eggs, waffles, cereal, yogurt, and more. The hotel is currently undergoing a change in ownership so I'm not sure if and how the hotel might change, but we loved it just the way it is. There are only 12 rooms and although 11 of the 12 were booked, we felt like we were the only ones staying there. We enjoyed tea and wine in the lobby at various times during our stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Yash and Komal!!

Friendly staff, Amanda is super sweet with a real hospitality attitude. It was wonderful experience every time I approached any of the staff always prompt to assist. Thank you all you made my stay special. Mansion on Sutter has the perfect location in a safe neighborhood. I definitely will be back

My daughter and I stayed at mansion on Sutter about five years ago and it was such an amazing experience that when my husband and I decided to visit San Francisco I booked us to stay there as well. If few things have changed, but the customer service and the beauty of the rooms and the location makes this one of the most Wonderful places to stay in all of San Francisco. The property is so beautiful and the renovations were done so well. The customer service, especially by Amanda and Komal were above and beyond. We will be coming back to San Francisco this year just so we can stay again at this lovely property. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable and every room is unique. I highly recommend this property.

This facility claims to be a 5-star hotel, but I'm not sure what the basis is for that claim. It's a strange kind of BandB without a restaurant. The include breakfast is awful - literally stuff from Costco. They have a couple very helpful staff members around but the whole place seems kind of deserted. Location is not far from everything, but not close to anything. Isn't as well staged as the photos suggest. Furniture was nice but getting a bit worn, nice toiletries and towels, no turndown service. You only get housekeeping if you ask for it. We had an issue with our room, and an offer was made to move us. Finally, not sure why but we paid ******* $200 more than the hotel's receipt shows we paid - guess ******* is marking this up, not down.
