The location is easy to find, not far from Chinatown, Lombard Street, and Fisherman's Wharf. The owner is very welcoming, but the room and bed are a bit small. The old-fashioned elevator is also a feature, which is good.

A nice location but I kinda expected to be better from the photos and the reviews. The hotel needs redecorating and the room was very basic. The windows are single glazed and it was very noisy during the night. Our key card for the door didn’t work and we had to always call someone from reception to let us in. They were meant to call someone to fix it but it wasn’t done. Apart from that our stay was fine.

I stayed in a standard double room.
The room was clean and not too small.
There were plenty of towels in the room, as well as shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and bathrobes.
And there was even a microwave! There was a refrigerator, but it was so cold that the water froze. It might be just right to buy ice cream to eat in your room 😆
In the lobby, there was hot water, coffee, water, etc., which you could drink freely.
The only thing is that there was some noise, which might bother some people.
However, this is a hotel I would definitely recommend to people looking for a budget stay.
