Taj Campton Place

This place was awesome.  They gave us a very tasty bottle of wine because we were celebrating our anniversary.  They accommodated our luggage early so that we could walk to an engagement.  They were always soooo nice.

Lazy management as a reflection of the overall attitude of American service industry these days. Especially in SF that is turning into an absolute dumpster.

A truly adorable hotel, in terms of hardware. Unfortunately, I suspect that I might have come across, as an East Asian, some sorts of racial discrimination at this property. For instance, I was asked how I got my European passport and, for multiple times, where I was “originally” from. I was intentionally assigned with a low-floor room with absolutely no view (facing their office room across a narrow atrium; the room in my photos is after me paying for an upgrade).

We had a fantastic stay at the Taj Campton Place in San Francisco. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm and attentive service. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and offered a perfect blend of comfort and elegance—ideal for relaxing after a day in the city. Breakfast at Bombay Brasserie was excellent, as were drinks at the bar in the lobby. Great location and altogether, it was a seamless, luxurious experience that made our time in San Francisco even more memorable.

We had one of the worst experience at this hotel. We were given complimentary breakfast daily nothing much to talk about it. Their breakfast starts at 7 am, We requested to be seated at 6 55 am as we need to catch our tour. They were just passing the ball from fronk desk to restaurant and vice versa. They accommodated us only after 7am only. While checking in on 16Jul 25, they said they are gonna charge resort fee, upon forwarding them mail from MmT, which includes all inclusive of all taxes and fees. But they still insisted a security deposit of USD 600. while they confirm with makemytrip and we also forwarded the mail saying to reception on day 1 and it was confirmed on day 1 that everything was paid. On last day when we were checking out early Front desk staff Romi said that we need to pay taxes when we confronted she said okok it's paid. Icing on the cake was as we were departing early that day, so my wife requested, if they could pack some break fast for us, as we our rate is inclusive of break fast. Lady at front desk Sierra said yes,we will pack but it will done in the night as staff reports only 6am in the morning. But to our surprise they charged us for in-room dinning as it was prepared in the night.we said fine they would pack some sandwich. Staff at front desk didnt confirm us it is gonna be charged at USD 86.00 for 2 peices of bread, rotten fruit with some ketchup bottles. Romi said she couldn't do anything as it was already charged and none was available to clarify. In and all except location of the hotel everything is a negative i would never recommend this hotel and don't go by TAJ it's not Taj. Be carefull guys clarify everything thing before in this shady place. Regards, M sidhardh reddy.
