Great place in a great location. Very close to Powell station for the BART, buses, trams and cable car. We also got great use out of the kitchenette on the second floor which came in very useful. The only downside was having to go to a different building to check-in. Not a big deal because it's just across the street, but always feels like a bigger issue when you've been carrying bags and looking forward to getting to your room!

The bartlett is a basic hotel but is in a great location so you can't complain. Going round the corner to the sister hotel to check in etc is a bit annoying but not a major issue.

There were no towels in the room so that we went to Hotel Stratford and asked for towels several times. But we didn't get any towels from housemaids. Eventually we needed to bring the towels by ourselves from Hotel Stratforrd. The room is tiny and you can barely open your suitcases if you are two persons. Highly not recommended.

The location is quite good, just a 5-minute walk from the Powell St. subway station. If you just want a cheap and affordable hotel, this is the option. Sanitary conditions are OK. There is no front desk here, and it is slightly inconvenient to check in to another hotel nearby.

Better than most of the other hotels around the area, bar attached too it along with hella sh*t around it for food and drink wise, def come back. Only stayed for one night and it was worth the stay. Was able to get pretty wasted comfortably. Great weekend

Basic Hotel with frequent unstaffed front desk. The room was fine and as expected given the price, but despite advertising front desk coverage until 5pm, there was seldom anyone to be seen. Upon arrival (given my experience, I think expected arrivals are the only time the front desk is staffed). I learned upon arrival that if desiring a visit from housekeeping there is a $50 fee, The noise in the hallway starting just after seven in the morning made sleeping in not an option. Meeting some of the other guests in passing, I think that perhaps the establishment also operates as an SRO. If you only desire basic accommodation, I expect you'll be content.

This is an on-a-budget hotel. To check in you have to go around the corner to the Hotel Stratford. There is no room service, and no change of towels ( you can request it at the hotel Stratford - fees may apply). We got a room with a shared bathroom (hallway). It was clean every day with no issues. However, our fob key only allowed us to use our floor bathroom and in case of both of us getting sick at the same time, it would be a big problem. The hotel is well located and you can do San Francisco on foot from there. However, we did not feel safe to go too far at night. No microwave, no kettle, no fridge, ceiling fans. For the price, it was well worth it, as we were out and about all day and only used the hotel to sleep.
