Park Hotel Casimiro

We stayed for a week early July, having visited Lake Garda many times. There are some good points, the terraces, pool areas, beautiful planting and landscaping. The boat stop is very close and views across the Lake stunning. The main disappointment was the "superior" room which was basic to say the least. Not enough charging points, particularly not near the mirror. The hair dryer in the bathroom cut out all the time, I wish I had taken my own! The wardrobe area was difficult to access, the safe had incorrect instructions. It wasn't very big and yet, there was a plastic covered "sofa" which apparently turns into bunk beds - well how you would get four people in that room with luggage, I do not know. Some accommodation has been refurbed, hopefully our room will be soon! The staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful, same in the bar areas. The food was average I would say, with not enough pasta dishes, considering it was Italy! The Reception staff and managers in the restaurant were rather more aloof and not so friendly. There is a nice little pebble beach (take water shoes). There are not many restaurants in the area to walk to but we did walk to Salo and also San Felice del Benaco which is very pretty and quaint - uphill from the hotel. We went around on the boats (as we always do), which is a lovely way to visit other areas of the Lake. Lake Garda is beautiful, we would go back but not to this hotel.

Stunning scenic setting with beautiful views overlooking Lake Impressive complex Welcoming Reception Staff Immaculate and large well maintained gardens and facilities Exteriors are cleaned daily so pristine Adults only Pool near to Lake Pool near Reception used by Families Very quiet during our stay even though Hotel was full *Safe and Fridge free of charge* Paid for a Superior Room at time of booking Adequate basic room but certainly not Superior in my opinion and not worth extra cost we had paid Negatives:- No Room ready upon arrival - had to wait for over an hour before getting key to Room (Had paid for Superior Room with Balcony but Room allocated had garden view in ‘annexe’ adjoining Hotel with direct Lake view) Evening Meal Choice was very limited and if you do not like fish or Pasta for most nights when staying at Hotel there were not many alternatives available Not always hot Fresh Salad available but again often with fish such as Salmon or Tuna but no cheese or meats were out on an evening which would have been a preferable option *much better overall choice at Breakfast* The best Evening Meal we had during our stay was when we ate at a local Restaurant near Ferry Port Things to be aware of:- Extra charges for Sky Deck Solarium, Access to Spa and indoor Pool and also is using Sunbeds on private beach Pebble Beach - Sea Shoes advised as pebbles over underfoot when entering or exiting Lake Nothing nearby to walk to except two local Restaurants which were always packed at night time Easy access to Ferry Port to travel to different areas of Lake Garda Inexpensive to use the Ferry and lovely views as you travel Takes about five minutes from rear of Hotel to reach Ticket Office at the Port There is a Supermarket which is situated on the Eden Campsite nearby to purchase water milk etc to stock fridge in room This is a short walk directly across from the main entrance to Casimiro Hotel If you want to escape and have a peaceful quiet holiday then this Hotel and amenities would be an ideal location to stay However if you like to explore there really isn’t that much immediately nearby to visit and you have to use Ferry to get to Salo which takes less then 10 minutes Salo and Bardolino are both stunning areas of Lake Garda and well worth visiting

Absolutely cannot fault Park Hotel Casimiro, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was brilliant. The Hotel was clean and tidy, the Rooms were comfortable (good A/C, good water pressure), the pools were excellent, the bar area (overlooking the lake) had views to die for. Both breakfast and evening Buffets were probably the best I have ever experienced in a Hotel, plenty of choice, different Hot Meats every night, with great service at the Table. Evening entertainment is more "background" with a Piano Player or a Singer on every other night. The Hotel itself is in a relatively quiet, low key area with a Ferry Port less than 5 minutes walk away which opens up the whole of the Lake to you.... plenty to explore in the area. Would I recommend this Hotel, OH YES...!!!! So much so that we are already looking to re-book for next year..!!!

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel recently with my husband and a group of friends, helped by the beautiful weather we had during our stay! The hotel is in a fantastic lake side location, with the local ferry port just a short walk away making it really easy to visit other areas around the area. I read an earlier review that someone thought the ferry prices were expensive, I totally disagree with that, they were not expensive at all in my opinion. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff were approachable, helpful, friendly and polite. A special mention to Paula in the restaurant for the excellent service she provided at mealtimes throughout our stay. There was always a good selection of food in the buffet style restaurant, it always looked fresh and was presented beautifully. I agree with an earlier review that the hotel isn't particularly set up for children, it is definitely more suitable for adults. Overall, we had a great relaxing time and wished we could have stayed longer! Lake Garda always leaves us wanting to return again, it's so beautiful P.S, just one negative point from our perspective. We would have liked to use the indoor pool occasionally but couldn't really justify the 25 euros per person per day cost of using the Spa. Whilst we totally appreciate the need to charge for Spa treatments such as massages etc, we think that as a guest staying at the hotel you should be able to use the indoor pool and sauna facilities etc without having to pay any additional charge.
