The hotel is very nice, staying for more than ten days, suitable for family with baby, has a sofa bed, can cook. The ventilation is also good. It is recommended to rent a suite if cooking, the room does not smell of soot.

It is beautiful! The bed is soft and clean. Employees are always smiling and made me comfortable. I would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling to San Diego if you'd like to experience the finer life. I recommend the bar downstairs where you can enjoy the tastiest, strongest drink available!

There are a few great Marriott properties in Downtown/Gaslamp San Diego and this is one of them. Located on the edge of Little Italy and a Red Line Train stop a block away, this property has a good view of the waterfront as well as within easy walking distance of the waterfront and Gas Lamp district as well. The front desk staff person Candace was an amazing help on recommending local places to eat and the best way to pop down to the border without a car for a day trip into Tijuana. Rooms are pretty much standard 'Residence Inn” style with many rooms having small stand only balconies. There's a pool and fire pit as well. A short hop from the airport and centrally located for Uber trips or rental car access to the further reaches of the area - I strongly recommend this property. It's often a lot less expensive than the hotels closer to the Gas Lamp but just as good!

Two rooms and one living room, with kitchen, you can cook your own meals on weekends. It is good to go anywhere. The main place to stay here is to go to Qualcomm for work. In addition, the parking fee is charged at 12 dollars per night. You can park your car at Qualcomm.
Residence Inn San Diego Rancho Bernardo/Scripps Poway

Rancho Bernardo / Carmel Mountain
Enjoyed a nice couple of days stay. The complex is a little older but very clean and cozy. We had a 2 bedroom & 2 bath suite with a kitchenette. I definitely recommend a 2 bedroom if traveling with kids. The kitchen is small but it made it easy to fix a quick snack or reheat leftover. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast was tasty, sitting area wasn’t too small & there was extra sitting area outside. Property had tennis court, basketball & pingpong. I will definitely stay here again should the need arise.

I was a bit apprehensive staying here--not an area I usually like to stay and my two usual hotels were not available on this trip so I took a chance. Was very pleasantly surprised. Starting with the only negative: The room could be better appointed. I had a King Suite. It had the full kitchen (great), a small sofa, but no coffee table to put your feet up or set things on. Not a huge deal by any means but odd for the suite-type of room. Other hotels generally have lots of seating/tables, as well as a small dining table or countertop bar. This had neither. Color scheme was a bit depressing and the orange vinyl computer chair and other plasticy orange chair were straight out of the 70s! These are all small things though. Postive: My room was super clean and hospitality staff did a GREAT job every other day. My bed was comfy and linens good. Towels were a little on the thinner side, but again, no big deal. The morning breakfast was better than expected and beat out my last stay at Homewood and TownPlace. There were generally two types of scrambled eggs every day, make your own waffles or pancakes, and then there were also premade waffles, pancakes, or french toast (rotating selection). Fruit was put in a cup which was nice. Love the vat of steel-cut oatmeal and toppings. Best of all--the staff monitoring the breakfast was ”on it” and kept it clean and plentiful. Also super friendly and cleared your dishes away with a smile. This place gets very busy right away. I was always there at 6:30 so not sure how it looks later on. Hotel was relatively quiet. I did hear some planes occasionally as well as the Disney Cruise shenanigans, but nothing bad. The 5th Floor Harbor and Sky outdoor bar was quite nice. Didn't eat the food but what others had looked pretty good. Lastly, super impressed with the staff here--everyone seemed to be in a good mood and polite. Can't say that about every place I've stayed. Now, I did leave something behind so we'll see how the Lost and Found works out!
