Check-in at 1 am is OK, but the big bed was not cleaned, so I changed to a twin bed and it felt bigger. It is close to the road, so it is almost noisy. The air conditioning system can cool and heat well, except that it is a little dark without a ceiling light. I have a lot of luggage, and the aisle is not big enough for 28 boxes + walking. The voltage is low. The kettle I brought from China boils less than 100 degrees, but it is no problem to heat it to 50 degrees. There is a microwave and orange water in the lobby.

This is a terrible brand hotel that cannot be hostile! !! !! Especially the reception desk is worse than the big car shop! Breakfast is the worst of my brand hotels in more than 100 countries. It is not as good as ”Motel” in New Zealand.

Always saw this hotel on previous trips to San Diego but never stayed here before. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is in Old Town so you are surrounded with some of the best Mexican food in San Diego. Park the car ($17 night) and feast away. Onsite restaurant is The Tequila Factory. Good food and margaritas (the hotel gives you a voucher for a free drink worth about $9-10). Old Town Mexican Cafe (100 meters away) has the most amazing fish tacos on handmade tortillas (you can watch the tortilla production in the front window). The hotel is old (maybe a little dated in the room decor) but clean and well kept and it is a beautiful property with lots of courtyards and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and helpful. Old Town is easily accessible to both I5, I8 and hwy 163, close to the airport and around 10 miles to the beach (very easy to get there).

There is a complimentary breakfast voucher, Western breakfast, ok. The hotel is traditional Spanish and has a very nice look. The location is very close to the airport in the old town. The old town itself is an attraction. The bars, restaurants and specialty shops are very interesting and very lively at night. I had a good meal with my boyfriend at a Mexican restaurant near the Sheriff Museum. The room itself is large enough but soundproof. American hotel guests should bring their own slippers and toothbrushes because the hotel generally does not provide these.

Hotel was quaint and quiet but also in need of a lot of upgrades. There was no outlet available where they had the microwave so I had to move it myself into the bathroom area to use it. At check-in I was told check-out time was noon but housekeeping was banging on the door at 11:30, telling me check-out was at 11 and very rude about it.

Convenient location. If you have plans to move around the old town, you can consider it. Facilities: There is a small swimming pool on the premises. Breakfast is very monotonous. Hot water is provided at the front desk for a fixed time period every day.

It is a motel, but the security is very good. Maybe it is too close to the old town. There are more tramps nearby. The hygiene is very clean. There will be train sounds sometimes. The quality of sleep is good. Then there is no delay! Everything else is OK.

Very atmospheric antique hotel, the garden restaurant is very beautiful, if you want to play the old city is definitely recommended, but the sound is not good, the facilities are very old, the bed is very small one meter five, the two are crowded, and away from the airport I was able to hear about the take-off and landing, but my sleep was basically unaffected, and the passing classmates said that they could not sleep. After all, it is a historical building, and it should not be too much for comfort. It’s a feeling of being a nostalgic lady.

This is the prime location in Old Town San Diego with nearby access to the world famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Sea World, Coronado, and slightly more distant access to Legoland and Wild Animal Park. San Diego's Old Town was the first European settlement on the West Coast and is known as the birthplace of California. The Historic Park encompasses 37 historic buildings. Three original adobe houses have been restored. The Casa de Machado y Silvas (aka "House of the Flag") is where the Mexican flag was hidden from American troops during the Mexican-American War. Mission Hills is an affluent neighborhood overlooking Old Town, Downtown San Diego and San Diego Bay. The area was developed in the early 20th century with homes designed by San Diego's premier architects including William Hebbard and William Templeton Johnson. Most of the homes today are restored and carefully preserved. The famous horticulturalist Kate Sessions, founder of the renowned Mission Hills Nursery, influenced the development of Mission Hills. Because we don't have off-street parking, we usually suggest to our guests that they don't rent a car and try using Uber/Lyft/Public transportation instead. Our home is just 10 minutes away from San Diego Airport. $9-$12 ride with Uber. Every other sightseeing or hot spot in San Diego is a short drive from the property, can't beat the convenience of this location. 10 minute car ride to downtown, beaches, Little Italy, Hillcrest, Sea World, Balboa Park or the Zoo. 10 minute walk to Historic Old Town where transit center offers the trolley, taxis, trains or buses. This is Old Town. It's very residential and also very touristic. Most people love it. If you are close-minded or looking for a "traditional American suburb" style, this will not be a good fit. There might be some noise from the highway and the planes, but really and HONESTLY very light noise. You can hear it when standing outside in the garden.
