I went to the center of San Diego, and I still think the Hilton is good. The health environment and services are good. Safety comes first when I go out. I think the facilities are good and it is a pleasant travel experience.

Homewood suites in downtown San Diego was the hotel we stayed from July 23-27, and despite not the best reviews online I thought I’d give it a try. We stayed during busy comic con week and still they were very attentive and helpful when needed. We had free breakfast every morning before 9am and the rooms were spacious with a kitchen. Highly recommend!

To begin, I had been skeptical about a stay given the numerous recent reviews but the room was booked on a non refundable advance reservation so we continued on. although the reservation was prepaid in advance & a call made the day prior to confirm booking, upon arrival we were told our reservation had been cancelled due to the bank believing it to be fraud, however, no cancellation email or notification of any kind notified us of issue. We were able to book a new reservation however, the leather is peeling off the stools, stains on couch, carpet was filthy, sheets had not been changed and the mattress felt like they drug it from the nearest homeless encampment and slapped it on a bed. Second night we moved due to cleanliness issues and being unable to sleep due to dirty sheets and flimsy mattress. Requested towels and housekeeping have absolutely NO warning and a man entered our room while my bf was in the shower, opened our door and THEN knocked amd called out whilst already in our room. parking is valet only for a whopping $60 a night. Would absolutely NOT recommend a stay here to anyone and believe we should be entitled to a refund due to numerous issues. Rooms are in dire need a complete renovation & background checks or better hiring practices for housekeeping.

Me hospedé en la habitación 375 y, lamentablemente, la experiencia fue muy decepcionante. El servicio del personal fue deficiente desde el principio. En el área del desayuno, el trato fue descortés. Llamamos varias veces a recepción para pedir toallas para la alberca y tardaron muchísimo en llevarlas. Lo mismo ocurrió con el servicio a la habitación: siempre tardaban demasiado. Al hacer check-in, el cuarto no estaba listo y tuvimos que esperar más de dos horas. Al hacer check-out, comenzaron a tocar la puerta media hora antes para que nos fuéramos, lo cual fue muy incómodo. Además, las instalaciones dejan mucho que desear. Las botellas de shampoo estaban vacías, y lo peor fue que en la habitación 375 las puertas del baño no cerraban correctamente, lo que impedía tener privacidad

I had an extremely disappointing stay at this property. When I checked in and provided my ID, they assigned us to the wrong room—the room they gave us belonged to someone else, a guest named Jose H. When the mistake was discovered, the staff refused to fix it unless we paid extra, claiming it wasn’t their fault. It wasn’t until a manager stepped in that the issue was finally corrected. The new room we were moved to had a broken door lock, which is a major safety concern. Maintenance came but couldn’t fix it immediately. I was told someone would return at 9:30 AM the next day, but when we returned that evening, the door was still not fixed. It wasn’t resolved until after 7 PM, after speaking with the manager. To make matters worse, at checkout I was told the receipt would be emailed to me. When I reviewed it, I discovered we had been double charged for valet parking. From start to finish, this stay was full of mistakes, delays, and poor customer service. I strongly advise others to avoid this location. I will not be coming back.
