PB Surf Beachside Inn

We had the corner room on the second floor which was large and bright. The bathroom is large enough to change clothes in. The location is perfect. We could walk to a bench to watch the sunset in less than 2 minutes. I took a walk down Mission Blvd to Belmont Park which is about 2.2 miles away. The walk was delightful. Lots of small businesses and fun looking houses. Bed was comfortable, there was a small refrigerator and microwave and coffee pot. Thank you!

Well, where do I start. We thought the hotel is right by the beach but it is not. The rooms were more or less clean, minus the carpet is was old and not clean. The bigger problem _ no outlets: only one by bed and another if I disconnected the micro. One meager light bulb type light in bathroom.... everything was just so cheap. A couple of hooks in bathroom would have made it immensely easier to hang up clothes or towel - but no, only 1 narrow bar for 2 towels. No vent in bathroom. It just feels like no one is looking to make the room comfortable - just simple, inexpensive ways like a bedside light or another outlet or a way to hang up clothes... to top it off, my husband left one morning & I needed a replacement card to get in room. The front desk person (Karla?) acted like I tried to enter Fort Knox. My husband called them, offered details on his registration, offered to text his DL... she wouldn't hear of it, although I had registered us and filled out the intake. An hour later, he came back to show his DL in person and life went on. Considering it was a somewhat low rate place, these "security"measures seemed a bit over the top. I suggest for the manager whoever he is, to make some small upgrades to the bath room, stick some hooks on the door and wall, install a couple more outlets and buy a nice lamp for the desk.

Staff was amazing! I forget her name but the female receptionist who was working with dark hair on Friday went above and beyond for me and my mom while we were here. Location is perfect, not in too busy or crowded of an area but next to the boardwalk and all the restaurants and shops

I’m already familiar with this hotel and area and it’s a great little place tidy and steps from the beach.

The only negative point is that there is no cutlery or just 1 plate and bowl set to eat from, apart from that the place is great and I'd stop there again
