Humphreys Half Moon Inn

Great friendly hotel. Great views not too busy and love the vibe and accommodations.

This was our first stay at Humphreys, and though the stay was decent, it will likely be our last. The Jr. Suite was pretty expensive, so my expectation was a clean room. At first glance it did look clean, but over the 4 night stay, I noticed a few things that made it not worth the price - mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, stain on the carpet, etc. In addition, the concerts can make things complicated, depending on where your room is. The parking lot exit near our room was blocked by a large truck on the day of a concert. We were out that evening so we didn’t deal with any sound issues, but the following day there was an event that I could hear from our room past 10pm. Nothing crazy - we were all still able to sleep, but not something we would want to deal with on a return trip. Also, parking gets complicated when there are concerts. We checked out on a Sunday, and I called the night before to ask about leaving a car parked in the parking lot after check out. I was told that we were free to park there as long as we were out by midnight, we would just need to pick up a special keycard to get out of the lot. When we checked out, a different person told us we would need to move our car because of the concert that night. Unfortunately, our son had already left for the day and had his keys. The front desk guy said they would make a one time exception. Again, nothing crazy, just seemed like their usual policy changed because of the concert, and maybe not all staff had been informed. On the upside, the grounds were beautiful & tropical, the pool was great, and the room had an awesome view. It was fine for a one time trip, but we’ll go back to Paradise Point next time.

We’ve stayed at Humphreys years ago and had a lovely time. We chose this hotel again for a college visit with our son. We had booked a bay view room but were not informed it was adjacent to the event space where a wedding reception was happening. Love that the wedding party was having a fabulous time, as they should, it’s a big day, but was VERY disappointed in the hotel for not informing us we had a room next to the event which included the dance party. Again, all for the party, but would have appreciated a warning so we could have had the opportunity to select a different room (and not pay for the upgrade) as we had to get up the next morning early for a college event.

We had a king junior suite on the 2nd floor in Bldg. A. The suite was roomy. It had a view of the bay and we really enjoyed that view. It was a surprise to us that there are no elevators in the resort but that said - it also was not a problem for us. We did get to check in early. FYI - for anyone wanting a first floor room with no steps - you really don't want to be in building A like us. The first floor had about 10 steps to climb at the one end and that was the end that was closer to the lobby. Although the far end near the restaurant had a long ramp. This building was also not close to the lobby. Our room had a fridge & a microwave as well as a coffee machine. The resort provided Starbucks coffee both regular & decaf and they restocked our room each day. Front desk staff were just great as well as housekeeping. Our room was very clean. The bathroom did need updating. Also for some reason our room door did not automatically close so we had to pay attention & pull it shut ourselves. We were with other couples who said they did not have that problem.

Wonderful getaway for pool lounging! The music and multiple seats around the pool give lots of shade and sun. Personally loved hanging out for hours with my book and taking breaks to do a few laps around the pool or soak in the spa. The bar next to the pool is always plus, and the bartender is always friendly!
